The Yiros Shop - Chermside — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I had heard really good things about this place. In particular, that they are really accommodating to people with gluten intolerance. As one of those people, I was really excited to attend their $5 Yiros promotion day. Upon arriving though, I was very disappointed to hear that they wouldn’t serve me the gluten free version. Their reasoning was that they were making a lot of money already from the people who eat gluten, that they weren’t going to serve gluten free options today, specifically. This is appalling service. There were employees at the back of the restaurant making the wraps freshly, who very easily could have put all of the ingredients (minus the bread) into a take away container for me. When I told them this, they simply would not do it. Looks like they’re not as accommodating as they were made out to be, after all. The menu was good overall however I noticed there are no meal deal specials specific to lamb for example no mini yiros with lamb was a little disappointing and I couldn't change my lamb yiros selected condiments which was frustrating but it was good that I could add things to it . The staff member who served me at the counter took about 2min to serve me, He looked a little unenthusiastic I asked him if he could change my lettuce for slaw but he said he could only add slaw as an extra. So I ordered the traditional lamb yiros And asked about the donut promo He told to put my review in and show him when I'm finished so I grabbed the card.
