Wow. I’ve been coming here for 4 years and I definitely won’t be back after tonight. The main service lady, who has never bothered to learn my name despite coming here once a fortnight was another level of unprofessional this evening. I was sitting at the table next to the kitchen and she’s yelling at clearly new employees. To be fair, the service was appalling. Both boys looked like they were waiting to leave the entire time. But as someone who runs multiple venues across Brisbane, yelling at staff is never okay. In fact, it’s grounds for a Fair Work investigation. Don’t even get me started on health and safety. A small child no older than 4 running through the restaurant and kitchen, where there’s a pizza oven and gas stoves? Just be glad I’m not bothered to send the videos I’ve taken to OH&S. The food was the worst it’s ever been. Burrata was more like a hard mozzarella stick. Lamb gnocchi was undercooked. Before I review, I always aim to give businesses the benefit of the doubt. But every single alarm in my body as someone who’s been working in hospitality for 11 years went off. The food is usually amazing, it’s one of the best places in Hawley Village. But this experience is enough for me to consider whether my money should be spent at a business that clearly has no care for staff and following basic...
Read moreCame in today after graduation to be disappointed by the service. We were ignored at the door for 5 minutes and then the people that came after us was served and seated before us. We then proceeded inside and was seated on a table not set up, no cutlery and table still sticky. After all this the customers seated next to us were brought over water and menu whist our table was just menus.
Food we ordered was prawn pasta and Mediterranean pizza. Pasta was well done. Perfecto. Pizza on the other hand was over killed with sauce. Centre of the pizza was soggy and Luke warm - most likely undercooked.
Overall dining experience was mediocre/under serviced. Definitely order the pastas over the pizza. If you want some Italian...
Read moreI liked this at first. The service was good, the pasta was nice (what we usually went for), we had amazing Crepes Suzette a few times, and the coffee was good. However soon we started having bad experiences with pretty terrible food. I usually like to give restaurants a few chances, particularly if they had been good in the past, but it happened too many times. Some of the pasta we got just didn't taste right at all and I was surprised that they considered that good enough. The service changed a little too. At times they seemed to be disagreeing over who would come out and serve us, or they were under obvious stress or pressure of some sort (even at quiet times) and it showed...
