Wilburs — Restaurant in Brisbane City

My friend and I came to Wilburs for the first time yesterday and had the most wonderful experience! We both got the chicken tarragon sandwich, which was simply delicious. We loved the addition of roasted walnuts in the dressing and thought the balance of flavours and textures was just right. The bread was so pillowy and the portion size perfect. Our coffees were also faultless. The staff were warm and friendly, and even shouted my friend a free cookie as they overheard we were celebrating her belated birthday ❤️ we left feeling chuffed and eager to come back! Everything about this place is such a delight. The girls are super lovely, the coffee is fab and the sandwiches are out of this world. We ate here for a second time this morning (1/07/24) around 7.30am, there weren’t any sandwiches in the cabinet yet as we were too early but the girls had no problem making up which ever one we wanted. Well worth the wait (even though it wasn’t that long!) one of the girls came out and apologised for the wait - just the nicest service and it felt like it was so effortless for them. A lovely shop in a humble suburb, incredible sandwiches and coffee for a great price, with daily made salads, sandwiches and cookies.

The staff were really kind and open for a good chat with us, did not hesitate to answer any of our questions. Noticed that they support locals, which is a huge plus.

Not too much seating available, but noted that most of their customers opt for takeaway, so you'll likely get a spot during a weekday.
