In depth review from many visits:
These guys do a good job from a tough spot in an incredibly competitive industry. I'm afraid it's not worth the money aside from a convenience standpoint. It's an al fresco café in a centre which hasn't been built for the luxury prices required to keep hospo businesses running in this sorta environment.
Staff have excellent customer service attitude from end to end in the business. It's very rare that they're too busy or tired to confidently serve customers properly. Please don't expect perfect silver-service tho, while the team do take care of you very well nearly every single time, this venue definitely has the most foot-traffic in the area so with a new staffer or covering shifts etc it can be abrupt, but same goes for anywhere that you don't book and break the piggy bank for.
Coffee and two baked items ends up costing $20 because of so many complicated factors. Gone is the regular ritual of starting my day at the local bakery for a satisfying kick-start to the morning for ten hucks. Nice salad roll, coffee and doughnut with friendly chit-chat was the tonic to the grind. Now it's just more grind 😂 Basically the same economy issues we get everywhere lately mean that this café has become a once-in-a-blue-moon/special occasion price tag so I make it a social venture with a friend and try not interrupt the flow of the busy staff. Yeronga Bakery seems to specialise in the more cake/sweet end of bakery expertise. Doughnut's, cheesecake (~$8) definitely above average quality. And the ice cream (Maleny Milk Co.) is outstanding.
The savoury offerings; pies ($7) are basically handmade 4n20 deal and bread options are rather uninteresting. Sausage rolls ($5);here are the hot food pick if you can't stretch for the roast mini-roll (~$12). I intend to experience the bacon and egg situation next time because over a year since I tried it and not a valid experience for a current review.
Tl;dr? important & busy scene in the local vibe, expensive and average quality across most items. Some stand out items. main road/train
Tip: bring cash to save on the eftpos...
Read moreWe have been loyal customers for 4 years, but we were incredibly worried this time as the quality of the food and coffee was absolutely dreadful. The burger bun was incredibly hard to bite into, and even pulling it apart didn't help. The schnitzel was even worse, requiring an immense amount of strength just to take a bite.
To make matters worse, the coffee was absolutely horrible. It was without a doubt the worst coffee I have ever tasted. I even asked for it to be remade because it was so bitter, but the second attempt they gave me was even worse than the first. I paid for the coffee, but I couldn't stomach more than a single sip.
When we expressed our concerns to the staff, they simply brushed us off, claiming that no one else had complained and walked away.
I won't recommend this shop to anyone, and we certainly have no intentions of returning.
To the owner : It's the same business we were this morning at 10.30am. We asked for manager or the owner. Staff said owner is not here. Try to take a feedback and correct your staff. You can check on the camera we didn't even drink the coffee and left it on the table even though we paid for it. All we asked for was better coffee. One lady came and said she drank coffee 3 times and it tastes the same. We own a hospitality business too but never reply in such a way to any of our customers. We tried to help your business as the taste changed a lot. But what we experienced was rudeness from the staff. That made me to...

Despite being a weekday, the place was buzzing with activity around lunchtime—a testament to its popularity with locals and shoppers alike.
The terrace is well-equipped with plenty of seating, so even on busier days, you’re likely to find a comfortable spot. Most visitors seemed to be indulging in freshly baked pastries alongside their coffee, creating a warm and inviting scene. I opted for just a coffee this time, and it didn’t disappoint—rich, smooth, and crafted with care, it was the kind of brew that keeps you coming back.
The staff were a delight, offering service that was both efficient and genuinely friendly, which only added to the experience. If you’re in the area, it’s a fantastic spot to take a break, watch the world go by, and enjoy a quality cup of coffee. Pro tip: head there early if you’re visiting during peak lunch hours to secure a seat and enjoy a quieter moment. A true gem for anyone looking to relax in a vibrant,...
