After a long day exploring the north of TAS, we had no idea about where to go for a nice dinner. GOOGELD some places, and decided on the RSL. And wow.! They did not disappoint. The Burnie RSL was actually fully booked with a private function. We didn't know that at the time. But they were super nice and invited us in regardless. They went all out trying to find us some chairs and a table, and went to the kitchen to speak with chef about cooking us dinner. There was 4 of us. My father and I eat lunch here every Friday and the food and service is always great. The manager is a real live wire and makes us feel very welcome. He has redecorated a lot of the club recently to bring it into the 21st century. The staff are attentive and very friendly

The food is always good. portion sizes are just right for lunch and very well priced - much better than local pubs. Beers are cheap too! It's relatively quiet as its Burnie's best kept secret - anyone can go there but a lot of people think you have to be an old soldier to get in.
