After a long day exploring the north of TAS, we had no idea about where to go for a nice dinner. GOOGELD some places, and decided on the RSL. And wow.! They did not disappoint. The Burnie RSL was actually fully booked with a private function. We didn't know that at the time. But they were super nice and invited us in regardless. They went all out trying to find us some chairs and a table, and went to the kitchen to speak with chef about cooking us dinner. There was 4 of us. Me and my partner, a 5 month old and my 70yr old dad. They were so awesome. The president or chairman, Adrian, even held our daughter for a bit so she could eat her meal. The food is always good. portion sizes are just right for lunch and very well priced - much better than local pubs. Beers are cheap too! It's relatively quiet as its Burnie's best kept secret - anyone can go there but a lot of people think you have to be an old soldier to get in.
