Before I begin the review, shout out to Maria and Jeremy for their absolutely top-tier customer service!
Food: Out of the four Mexican chains I know of here in Perth (if you can count Taco Bell), Mad Mex is my second best in flavour. I came in near the end of the day, yet the food remained nice and moist, their beef was very tender, and their sauces were better than average. The only thing that really ranks Mad Mex second best is that I find Zambrero's meats to be a bit more flavourful, but Mad Mex makes up for this by being cheaper, so it's your preference.
Service: For context, I arrived before closing and had recently lost my card. I was using GPay for the first time, and even though I was having TONS of issues with it, Jeremy and Maria patiently waited and assisted me with it for a good 15-20 minutes, even though they were close to closing. They had no obligation to do so, so their help was INCREDIBLY appreciated. We may not have found the cause of the problem, but the fact they went through it with me is more than top-tier service. They were very kind throughout the whole situation, and afterward, the burrito I purchased (with cash) was prepared very quickly. They went above and beyond and I...
Read moreI understand workers can KINDLY ask for a review from customers, but making customers do reviews just so they can get the food THEY ALREADY PAID FOR is honestly crazy. I went there today and got my food, which was okay as usual, but the worker asked me to do a review, I didn't mind, but my friend who didnt even have his phone out was asked to make a review too and not in a polite way at all.
then, i couldnt do a review as i wasnt signed into my google acount and the worker didnt try to hide the face he made when i didnt want to show MY phone screen to prove i made one. I understand asking, but forcing is a no go and for a student like myself, it made me extremely uncomfortable as i had just wanted to get food before going home. honestly id prefer ordering online or from a different place completely. this whole interaction made me really uncomfortable and i think mad mex should take a look into their...
Read moreWent to go grab myself a Regular burrito with mexicalli mince, all the normal stuff but also with added guac, extra tomato and cheese sauce. The workers somehow werent able to wrap the burrito when it wasnt even that big. I've seen way bigger burritos get wrapped else where. Because they weren't able to wrap it, they decided to chuck it out and remake my burrito, except this time by giving very little amount of each ingredient. Would have been fine with the unwrapped burrito because the the remake was one of the smallest burritos I've had. Would not eat here again, as they can't wrap a normal sized burrito. And to ensure they can wrap it they make it so small that a "regular" sized burrito cant even make you close to...
