Disappointing Experience - Stay Away from This Restaurant

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. Here’s what happened:

I placed my order and was told it would take 20 minutes. When I checked back after the wait, the receptionist told me they needed an additional 5–6 minutes because the fryer was down. I decided to wait, but 6 minutes turned into 15 before I was finally called to pick up my order.

When I received my food (just fries, mind you), the portion size was shockingly small. Worse, the fries were drenched in oil to the point that squeezing one would cause oil to drip out. Clearly, they had been fried twice, which completely ruined their taste and texture.

What’s more concerning is the aftermath of eating these fries. I experienced severe food poisoning and have been unable to eat properly for two days. It’s incredibly disappointing because this restaurant used to be good, but now their quality and standards have drastically declined. It feels like they’re serving poison, not food.

Very poor service , they refused to give plates with our order even when it was mentioned, that the order was dine-in. List of other issues Front till manned by one staff, who kept ignoring to take the order. This girl wasn't in an uniform making me question if she really was a staff member. Had to go back twice and request the manager to give us plates . Her response was if she gives us plates, everyone else would start asking and that the restaurant is a take away. Refused to acknowledge the mistake on their part as our order was dine-in. Dropped some more plates in front of me and went to serve the next people in line . Ignoring as if nothing happened. I checked out Mochachos webpage , being an international brand I find it very surprising the franchise owner would hire untrained , rude staff. An item was left out from the order inspite of having paid for it.

Would never place orders at this franchise ever again. Reading the other similar experiences it would be most appropriate if the brand or Carousel shopping centre takes action.

This is my regular place to go for Mexican food. Here is how I break it down:

Ambience: typical food couet environment, very very crowded, but sufficiently clean. My wife has high standards to cleanliness (or maybe I'm just a slob) but she has no complaints about the cleanliness of the food court. 7/10

Variety: compared to other Mexican restaurants like Salsa's and Guzman Y Gomez, there is more variety here, like my personal favourite, chimichangas. Also has burgers and fries too. 10/10

Service: overall good. But it gets very busy, so I can understand if they miss a thing in my order. It does take some time to get the order, but again they are very, very busy. 9/10

Quality: Excellent. Having tried other Mexican restaurants, I find their food tastes the best. 10/10

Value: Very reasonable. Not the cheapest, but I never feel like it was lacking in size or quality. 10/10
