My friend and I were in Claremont and we walked past past , what we thought looked like a nice place to try for dinner, so we waited to see if there was a table as we didnt have a booking,.We were told to come bqck in half a hour , looking forwad to this as it was our birthday dinner celebration, we looked around and did as asked came back in half an hour, We were approached with " oh your back you wanted a place, the manager or owner( didnt know and he did say his name)then walked away after we observed him warmly greeting a prevous cuople who also wanted a place to eat, we waited but by this stage we felt upset, why were we treated differently ? We were appropriately dressed, we were polite and we were willing to wair!!! We left feeling humilated , judged and like we were considered second class citiizens, never have I all my friend felt so bad , for just a new experiece at a restraunt we wa ted to try!!!, I sincerely no feels how we felt on our birthday dinner night like we did, We coukdnt understand, what was it about us?We had the resources to pay , we were like I said dressed aporopriately, we were white( I say this because we noticed no people of colour which I guess should have been an alarm bell oh and a child who walked in with a genuine Lv bag , no lining and genuine stitching so wasnt a fake) and acted politely? We had such empathy for ,what if we werent privilliged in being able to at least go to a place in Claremont? Would we even be looked at?We left , as he never came back to us and by this stage it was 40 mins wasted, We felt mortified and rightfully angry , I speak up because as someone born and raised in Perth , I have never experienced sich a situation, What is happening?what has Perth become? and all I could think about was so this is how disenfranchised people or people who may note have resourses feel maybe? Where has kindness and courtesy gone?I ve included a photo of myself to show ifwe live in a sad world that deems it far to be judged by presentation or status , do I not at least have a chance? Shame on you!! and as Vivian from Pretty aWoman said to hose judgemental Bi. .... on Rodeo Drive, 'big, huge mistake(" sorry cant rember exact quote but I think you...
Read moreThe place is abuzz with staff flying around (still being courteous and welcoming) with Albasio directing the Team as only a flawless and experienced restaurateur can. Food came fast and fragrant - pizza was tasty and flavoursome - felt like being in Italy without the hefty travel cost - had to leave to go back home reluctantly (took with me some sweet bigne' to alleviate the pain of going back to real life) - well done to the guys at Dolce Bellissimo - "Salute" and see you next time!!
We went again with a small group of Italian friends- I chose the Gamberi pizza and I have to say it was the most fragrant I have had in a long time- the right amount of chilli flakes and the juicy prawns delicate taste was enhanced by deliciously salty anchovies - the base was of substance and I couldn't help myself eating the edges as well (that's a sign you don't want to waste any part of it - really well prepared base and held the ingredients properly). All went down with a nice Birra Moretti - Albasio and Team have...
Read moreHave been going to this restaurant for the last 10 years with my adult family approximately every two months (our local) Went thete tonight and the table next to us arrived at the same time. They had eaten their meal and left. The table was being cleaned up before our meal arrived. The two other tables next to us arrived after us and were served their main before us. We queried the waiter about where our meal was and our meal arrived approx 30 mins after that. Had to ask waiter for a water refill after we had been there for an hour and a half (waiting for our main meal) to get our glasses refilled. When went to pay for our meal mentioned to the owner that we have been coming here for 10 years and the service tonight was not satisfactory. Can you believe what he told me “ WELL DONT COME BACK!!!” I then went to talk to him to explain what my concerns were and he said “DONT WANT TO TALK YO YOU” Unbelievable!!! One family of 7 adults that...
