Balanze — Local services in Claremont

I was introduced to Balanze by my wife. Being a guy in my 50s who used to be super fit in my younger days but with knee issues now from competitive rugby, I was skeptical as to what if any benefits Balanze Pilates would offer me.

Boy was I wrong! Balanze Pilates has made me stronger, fitter and more flexible and the achy, creaky knees are doing better than ever. Trust me boys, its a lot harder and tougher than you might think and not just something ' for the girls'. Try keeping up with them!

Shout out to my fav instructors, Chloe, Talita, Katie, Tahnee and MJ. You guys rock and have made such a positive difference to my life. I truely enjoy being part of the Balanze family, look forward to my classes and feel so much the better for it.

So for my I year update...

Some of my favourite instructors have left but have been replaced by awesome new talent..shout out to Katie H, Original Katie and Leeanne. You all bring your special knowhow and sweet tortures to the classes to challenge and bring the best out of us. No matter how 'meh' I might feel before class, I always feel energised and alive when I finish.

There is no doubt I am stronger, fitter, more supple and less achy than when I decided to join Balanze The difference is remarkable. Now I compete against myself and challenge myself do to a little better each day.

Its good to see more boys in the but we need more. I would encourage all of you holding out to give it a crack. You wont regret it.

So, for my 18 month update...

Still going strong and have tried out some new challenges such as jumpboard class, mat class and have realised the beauty of yoga.

Original Katie has left (boohoo) but its great to have Katie H, Caitlin, Mia, Chanel, Sarah, Emma, Kate and Anneke who all bring their own special talents to their class.

Yay, that Tahnee is back but unfortunately Im never in Perth on Weds to take her class (another boohoo).

The boy count in the classes seems to be increasing which is great. I never miss an opportunity to tell anyone that will listen how Pilates (and more recently Yoga) has changed my life and recommend Balanze as the only...

I have never enjoyed working out so much. Usually exercises are just a phase for me and I find it hard to enjoy something so much to stick to it for longer than a couple of months. I have tried different studios before and I would walk away feeling like nothing was really worked enough for me to spend money on it... until I found Balanze. My first few classes I realised just how much I needed to fix my form, which the instructors are really attentive to, they are watching and fixing your form throughout the whole session. They give you options if something is too hard or not hard enough, but they make you work!! I feel like I have done a weights session once I have left which is amazing. These girls know exactly what they are doing and they create such a beautiful and warming environment. The studio is stunning. I have had a knee injury for a while and the girls are always giving me options and taking care with it! It finally feels stronger! I can't say enough about Balance & it has become the favourite part...

2 years later and I'm still here, the studio is still wonderful and the staff are very responsive and understanding. good introductory deal, great instructor, good equipment, great payment options, good range of classes and times, great communication and follow up messaging, after using this facility for a month I've upgraded my star rating to 5 - hands down the best studio I've been at, instructors so knowledgeable caring and wanting to get the best out of you!
