My lovely lady and I travelled from Canning Vale to Claremont to have a late lunch early dinner ŵ some fine fare from this august venue. Being a public holiday there was the customary 15% surcharge on everything but the evidence we got was that management had skimped on staff numbers anyway on what turned out to be a bumper crowd that was dissipating as we arrived later in the afternoon. The waiter was charming (from Brazil) and the quality of the wine as usual and food did not disappoint. On arrival we were told that the kitchen was between 40 minutes and an hour behind on orders. I accepted that given the low staff numbers and the huge patronage on the day. What really pissed me off was that we waited about 50 minutes for the food to arrive, which I could understand, but I could not accept the delivery of the main course and the entree we had ordered all arriving at the table at the same bloody time. We had to eat our mains before they went cold and then turn to the entrees, which while delicious, the edge was taken off because we had eaten our mains first. Whilst I have had this experience in Asian restaurants over the years, I did not expect this shithouse mixup at what I consider to be a fine dining pub that I love to go to for great food and usually great service! Lift your game guys!! If you insist on charging 15% surcharge on public holidays then please make sure your staff contingent is up to the likely high demand for service on public holidays and stop gouging that surcharge on reduced staff numbers!! We will be back, but we will make a bloody scene and get kicked out the next time you fail us.

Took my father out and had a wonderful lunch. First time back in the beautifully renovated hotel. Sat outside on the busy verandah on a beautiful sunny winter day. We both had the barramundi which was absolutely delicious and shared a bottle of wine. Upmarket Claremont prices for both food and wine, which we were expecting. (Not a pub lunch by any means so strange to order and pay at the counter then juggle your my purse, phone, wine bottle in an ice bucket and wine glasses back to the table! Lesson learnt) The only reason I probably won’t go back - at least with my father - was the music was loud and we couldn’t find anywhere to sit away from the speakers. Removing his hearing aids helped! Otherwise a delightful afternoon ***** June 2024. An update to that last review. Just had the most wonderful lunch today in the same outdoor area. Fabulous all around - food, wine, service, vibe and a gorgeous sunny autumn day. Very happy we came. Thank you so much for keeping the music as discrete back ground vibe which doesn’t interfere with conversation. Added to our list of regular lunch spots 🙌😊

Wow! Wow! Wow! Today was my first visit to the newly developed Hotel and it was just amazing! My partner and I couldn’t believe how stunning it was! The architecture was incredible, the styling, use of space, furniture. It was not only very contemporary but also homely and welcoming too. From the moment we entered we were acknowledged by all the staff we came into contact with. Warm smiles, great customer service! We decided to sit in the bar on the rooftop and enjoy some lunch - pumpkin and feta pizza and fish and chips. I also had a yummy limoncello cocktail and my partner drank some gorgeous white wines. Our decision to go there was a spontaneous one, and the visit didn’t disappoint! We sat down at our table and a lovely guy came and served us some glasses filled with ice (how often does that happen?) and a slice of lemon and presented a chilled bottle of cold water while we read through the menu. The wait time was really good, not long at all, and when the food arrived we were in 7th heaven!!! The pizza was to die for and the F&C just scrumptious, served with a gorgeous side salad. We were absolutely full after our meal so had no room for coffee and dessert. However, we will definitely go back and work out way through the rest of the menu. I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who was there today and for the effort which has gone into creating such a fantastic experience for patrons. I can’t recommend it more highly to anyone considering giving it a try. Can’t wait...

We came to this restaurant for the 2024 new years, with our expectations high for a good meal and drink. We first entered the bar, the service and ambience being beautiful, but the drinks were average. They weren't bad, but they weren't like what we had hoped for.

We moved to the table for out dinner reservation, and we were seated shortly. The waitress seemed fine when we order entrees, but when we ordered two more, her attitude dissipated in seconds. She didn't seem pleased in a way, but we left it alone.

When it was time to order our mains, we had the same waitress serving us. She had asked us if it was our first time dining there, in which we responded with yes. We then asked if what we had ordered was enough for the amount of people we had, and she responded that it was not enough in her opinion, so we ordered more.

When our food had arrived, it was WAY too much for us to go through. We ordered the lamb, along with a salad, and a few other things because she said that it wasn't enough previously.

We did not get close to finishing any of the food. there was at least 60% all together left. The food itself was not what we hoped for. The lamb didn't seem seasoned, the dressings being either too much of one thing or not enough of another.

Very pricey, and left us somewhat upset at the waitress for misinforming us, as she also had asked if it was our first time dining. We had no knowledge of portions or...
