Cottesloe General Store — Restaurant in Cottesloe

Purchased Hot chocolate before spending some time in beach. The cup provided by the lady had some sort of dirt in it externally next to the lid where we sip. Requested the coffee making lady for some wipes/tissues. She quickly took some dirty used cloth that was used to clean the coffee machine and wiped it off. Yuckk.. It was a disgusting move .... Sorry guys.

When I requested tissues I was told that this should be self served and I have to walk inside the store to get some. Took a bunch of tissues placed next to coffee machine and requested them to place it next to the coffee window so it is easy for customers next time. The coffee making lady was very angry and immediately put them back in its original place. Very bad attitude and poor cleanliness habits to have if you are serving customers.. I really don't know how food is cooked inside the kitchen for other foods.. Yuckk .. I would hesitate to buy food in this store any more..

Also, If you want additional walking exercise than you had in the beach please feel free to visit this store i.e, First - You walk inside the building and pay for your coffee Second - You will be requested to wait outside the store next to the coffee window to collect ordered coffee. Third - If you request for tissues you would be told that it is self served for which you need to walk back inside the store.

When I requested to speak with the manager the coffee lady told the manager is away and I had to wait for him/her to talk with them... Hahahaa..

Not sure who is running the store now.... It used to be good...

Complete waste of time, just go to the chip shop down the road instead. I paid for a pizza, waited about 20 minutes before I was told that they don't have the ingredients to make the pizza that I asked for... After agreeing to change my order to a Hawaiian pizza without pineapple I was left waiting for another 30 minutes before I smelt burning coming from inside. Obviously I knew it was my pizza since this is the second time that this has happened at this "General Store"... I went inside and the rude and unsmiling asian woman who had somehow forgotten that I was there, despite me being 6 foot, handsome and the only customer they had, was about to try making another pizza from scratch, without actually coming outside to admit to me that they'd burnt it. So to recap: slow service, no pineapple, burnt pizza, almost an hour wasted and service without a smile. Thanks for nothing. I also find it hilarious that the owner would write replies to complaints, arguing with the customers, I wonder how far...

Don't remember ever having a good experience here, generally poor service and bland drinks. Today no different, after being asked to wait 10 mins for a smoothie and juice, turn up to collect them only to be told they don't have fruit for the juice nor bananas for a smoothie. And then had to wait around for them to phone their "manager" to approve a refund only to have the gall to tell you they can't refund the money on your card. Joke of an operation. Plenty of other options on the strip that are more reliable and will have you enjoying the sunset rather than playing...
