Yum yum yum. Where do I start. Came here for the 6th anniversary of the love of my life. I miss him dearly. Him and I loved this place and I remember falling in love over chicken fried rice. That fateful night was the first of many great evenings that we dined at the restaurant. After Damion and I separated and he kept coco our pug I was devastated and I swore to never come back here. But, the satay chicken has me weak at the knees, so I caved. It’s nice to see some new faces at the restaurant and the waitresses this evening were very friendly and polite, it helped me tremendously to keep happy with all my these memories flooding back to me. I am not sure if this place can really purport itself to be selling Thai food. Having lived in Bangkok for nearly four years, I am familiar with most Thai dishes and how they are supposed to taste and not one of the four items we ordered bore any resemblance to how it should taste.

The Chicken Cashew Nut did not contain dry chili as this dish normally should, the basil beef included all sorts of other vegetables which are not supposed to be in it, and the fried rice came with a side slice of lemon (instead of a quarter lime), which I have never seen before.

Ordered dinner from the restaurant tonight, my partner has collected it only to find that I did not receive what I ordered. When we phoned back to inform them, we were told that they do not have squid and so just made the meal with vegetables. Additionally, as I asked for ginger squid (something apparently from their old menu despite the fact I was not informed of this) I had to pay $6 extra for the small amount of ginger in the dish. My partner also had to wait as the meal (which was incorrect) wasn't ready until 10 mins after the scheduled pick up time. Not good enough. Will never return and will take my business to Southern Star a fresher and better Vietnamese restaurant...
