Oh boy, where do I even start with Hash, the burger joint that will leave you scratching your head (and possibly your taste buds)? First of all, let me just say that their menu selection is nothing short of bizarre. If you're in the mood for a burger made with kangaroo meat or a patty made from mealworms, then Hash is the place for you. But wait, it gets even better. They also offer a sandwich made with fried crickets and a side of tarantula fries. Yum, right?
Now, I have to give them credit for their commitment to offering unique and exotic proteins, because who doesn't want to try a burger made from something they've never even heard of before? And the fact that they actually have a wheelchair ramp is just icing on the cake. It's always nice to see a business that's willing to accommodate all customers, even those with disabilities.
However, I must say that I was disappointed that they didn't have any vegan options for my grandma. I mean, sure, they have burgers made from kangaroo meat and mealworms, but they can't whip up a simple vegan patty? Come on, Hash, get with the times.
But don't worry, while we were waiting for our meals, we were reassured by the fact that they had a clear fire evacuation strategy in place. Because what better way to enjoy a meal of fried crickets than with the knowledge that you'll be able to escape quickly in case of a fire?
Overall, if you're looking for a burger joint that's a bit out of the ordinary and you don't mind the lack of vegan options, then Hash is definitely worth checking out. And if you're lucky enough to have a grandma in a wheelchair, well, they've got you...
Read moreI'll start off by saying as a Canadian you have my seal of approval with the Maple Bacon bang on. Secondly you've opened my eyes to Kim chi on burgers, this is not like pineapple on pizza. There's no debate, kimchi belongs. My burger got a bit soggy but that would mean you would have to put less sauce and I don't want that. That soggy bit of the bun at the end was a quick ride to flavourtown. My wife said it was hands down not only the prettiest (Lulu burger) but the best burger she has had hands down. Only Con would be the amount of liquid cheese on the chips but hey... you can never have enough cheese so.
We waited maybe 15-20 MAX. I would be happy to wait longer. It's not fast food. These are GOURMET burgers. And the first and last stop to board the train to flavourtown.
Thanks for the burgers chef (and good man for having real ketchup on...
Read moreOrdered food online for my kids for when my hubby and I were out for the night. After an hour long wait they called to find out where the food was and were told delivery was no longer an option in our area. This was not stated on the website when the order was placed and paid for. No one called to let them know that it wouldn’t be delivered. They ended up driving from port sorell to collect the food. The food was not great and the chicken tenders were dry as old boots. When a refund was requested they were told that this was not possible as the owner was not there and to call next week. Called this week and was told there would be absolutely no refund. They were, however, offered $40 (originally paid $62) worth of free food next time. I highly doubt we will return. Very disappointing as we used to enjoy the...
