Cafe Birrigai — Restaurant in District of Belconnen

When you go there and you see the chef. Pick up raw chicken with her fingers put it on the hotplate to cook and then go straight from there.Straight into the salad and pick it up with her hands.Disgusting, not only that, she has cross contaminated her salad with raw chicken. Which is a health concern The cook needs to be trained with food health safety. I told the person that was at the counter. and they pretty much shrugged it off and didn't do nothing. didn't make her go put any gloves on or anything like that, or use tongs, at the least. Definitely, we will not be going back there. We were with people. That already ordered? They got their money returned. and we just had coffee. Coffee was good. But they're food handling skills. left a bad taste...

Simple cafe that is located near Belconnen lake and surrounded by Kangara Waters retirement village.

Plenty of indoor and shaded outdoor seating areas. There is no table service though ordering at the counter is simple enough with friendly staff who are eager to please. Good selection of muffins and cakes for a snack and a good menu for a meal. Drinks are the usual selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and milkshakes.

There is limited visitor parking near the cafe. Alternatively go for a walk around the lake and drop in for a drink and cake or...

Quite a cute little cafe situated very close to Lake Ginninderra within the grounds of the Kangara Waters Lifestyle Community and Care Centre. It provides a convenient rest stop for cyclists, runners and walkers around the lake. Well used by the residents it is often busy and can take a while to be served. The cafe offers a limited range of sweets as well as a breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. The best thing is the proximity to the lake. Not ideal for coffee connoisseurs....
