I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Indian Dining Club in Belconnen with a group of friends and their families for dinner, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant offered delicious food and attentive staff, although there were a few areas that could be improved.
Let's start with the positive aspects. The food at Indian Dining Club was absolutely fantastic. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and expertly prepared. Whether it was the aromatic curries, the tender tandoori dishes, or the flavorful biryanis. The menu had a wide variety of options to cater to different preferences, including vegetarian and vegan choices, which pleased everyone in our group.
The staff at Indian Dining Club also deserves praise. They were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt well taken care of. The waitstaff provided recommendations, explained the menu items, and ensured that our orders were promptly taken and served. Their professionalism and warm demeanor added to the overall positive dining experience.
However, I must address a couple of concerns we encountered. Firstly, the state of the bathrooms was disappointing. During our visit, we found them to be unclean and not up to the expected standards of hygiene. It would be greatly appreciated if the management could pay more attention to maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the restroom facilities.
Secondly, we were surprised to find that there was no dedicated baby change room in the restaurant. This made it inconvenient for families with infants who needed a clean and private space for diaper changes. Providing a designated baby change room would greatly enhance the restaurant's family-friendly atmosphere and accommodate the needs of its patrons.
Despite these areas for improvement, I would still recommend Indian Dining Club for its delectable cuisine and attentive service. It's a great place to indulge in authentic Indian flavors and enjoy a memorable dining experience. I hope the management takes the feedback into consideration and addresses the concerns raised regarding the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the addition of a baby...
Read moreI recently attended a birthday function at a indian Dining club and I must say that it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. From the lackluster service to the subpar quality of the food, everything about the evening fell far below my expectations.
First and foremost, the service was abysmal. The staff seemed completely disorganized and overwhelmed, leading to long waiting times and a general sense of chaos. The servers appeared disinterested and inattentive, rarely checking on our table or providing any assistance. It was clear that they were ill-prepared to handle the large group for the birthday function.
Moreover, the food itself was A Okay and noting I can praise comparative to a good Indian Reatarurant. Not only was it served lukewarm, but the quality was subpar. It seemed as if no care or attention had been put into the preparation. It was evident that the kitchen was struggling to keep up with the demand, resulting in a compromised dining experience for all guests.
Adding insult to injury, after paying $100 per person Despite being a birthday celebration not a wedding reception that the rate reflects Our expectation were not met. Corckage charges were paid and we weee still charged for the Soda water and Tonic water. This lack of customer care was deeply disappointing and reinforced our perception of the restaurant's overall disregard for its patrons.
In conclusion, my experience at for the birthday function was nothing short of a disaster. The lack of competent service, underwhelming food quality, and indifferent management all contributed to an evening that fell far below the expected standard. I would strongly advise against hosting any special events or dining at this establishment, as it is clear that they are incapable of delivering a...
Read moreOn a dreary night, my wife and I sought refuge from the rain (and having to cook) with a visit to the brand spanking new Indian Dining Club restaurant in Belconnen.
The decor reflects that tonight was the second night after opening- everything is so fresh and so clean.
We dined on a selection of beef shiskebabs, lamb saag, goat curry, some rice and a special naan with sultanas, whose name escapes me. Probably 75% of the menu had Gluten free options which is excellent.
The friendly staff went the extra mile and we were treated to some complimentary papadums. The mint sauce has a good warmth of spice.
The mains were of a portion size that when combined with the shared entree, half a naan and some rice, it was more than enough for a meal and I got a container for the leftovers which will make for a good lunch tomorrow.
The best part was the taste. The goat had rich flavours and a good amount of heat. I didn't share the lamb but I could see the meat was tender so that it would melt in your mouth, as I was told.
A-Jay checked in that we were enjoying our meal once, as we dined. It was good that he was satisfied with our answer- I've been elsewhere and being asked 5 times if we were enjoying a meal is too much.
If ya looking for a new and very clean Indian style restaraunt in Belco that serves tasty food then the Indian Dining Club is a good option.
My compliments to the chef and friendly staff. We...
