Brought my parents who are from the Indian subcontinent who wanted some authentic Indian food for dinner. To my delight I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service. My father who is an Indian food connoisseur mentioned that he absolutely loved the Dum Goat Curry which was slow cooked for 8 hours while my mother finished the entire Chicken Chettinad accompanied with a Garlic Naan. She even ordered a second Naan to slurp up the rest of the curry sauce from the main dishe. What I'm trying to say here is that the food was incredible, and I was thrown back by how well my Indian subcontinental parents reviewed it. The service was amazing too and the atmosphere had a nice cultural vibe. I highly recommend a visit to the Dum Dickson Indian Restaurant!

We went to the restaurant to celebrate my friend's daughter's 18th birthday. My friends drove in from Sydney to surprise her at a lunch birthday celebration. The ambience was relaxing and cozy, with enough space for around 50 people, perfect for small gatherings. The service and food were both excellent. The kids enjoyed both the vegetable platter and the non-vegetarian platter. The mains were fresh and with the right flavours. Both vegetable and chicken biryani had excellent flavours. Sorry I Did not take the food pictures at that time.

This is a gem of an Indian restaurant in Dickson, a vibrant eatery district of Canberra. There is a wonderful selection of veg and non veg, mainly North Indian cuisine, with all the favourites. I have dined here over the years, many times, and always look forward to returning. Service and staff are polite and friendly and go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied. I recommend this restaurant highly.

Order for the first time from here. The food was overall good however the butter chicken was a little on the bland side and lacked salt. The vindaloo we ordered in chicken but were given in beef and it tasted slightly odd like it was made from a base of pre-bought jar paste which also left a lingering taste at the back of our tongues which was not all too pleasant. Although once the vindaloo and butter chicken was mixed together and had some salt and Indian pickle added to it, it was delicious. The naan was disappointingly flat and small but the pappadums were well cooked, crispy and fresh. Finally, we received information that we would not need to pay a delivery fee but once everything was totalled, we were charged $3 for the delivery. Although, the food was...

It is horrible place to eat Indian food. We went their with an excitement but after eating food our whole excitement turned into literally very bad experience. Even though it’s not busy we were only their but still they serve food like they are loading truck ( loading everything at one time ). Palak paneer looks like methi paneer and had no taste. Fish pakora was coated with a thick besan with a tiny pieces of fish inside. Paneer makhni taste likes shahi paneer. After we had a main course we didn’t not order sweets as we assumed it would be the worse one as well . They have very bad customer service . We are not visiting this place ever again. Highly not...
