Pizza Arte — Restaurant in District of Canberra Central

Edible but not up to the same standard as other woodfire pizza places in Canberra. We've ordered from here a few times and only ordered again because Parbery Lane was closed. Potato was not cooked through on Patate pizza and yet the crust and cheese was burnt in places and bitter. Tomato sauce is bland and underseasoned on the Arte Special, accompanied by burnt chopped basil and sliced bland prosciutto. All needed some salt! I ordered two medium sized pizza’s which ending up costing me $45. I should’ve asked the price before I agreed. The crust was supper thin and hardly any ingredients on it. Only a bit of thin ham from supermarket, cheese and pineapple from a tin on one pizza and even less on the other pizza. Less is more? I don’t know. It tasted okay but way too expensive and hardly anything on it. I should’ve checked what was in the box before I agreed to pay. Once bitten twice shy. I won’t be going back....

OK, the pizzas are pricey. But we still regularly pay $31 for the family size Penny's Pizza because it is that amazing. It comes with mozzarella, blue vein, feta, chicken and pickled jalapeno slices.
