So, picture this: it's a Wednesday afternoon, 2 pm, you stroll into this restaurant with high hopes, ready to indulge in some delicious grub. You order up a storm: two coffees, two entrees, two mains, and even leave room for dessert. But alas, what you get is a comedy of errors and disappointment worth $110!
Let's break it down:
You're greeted by a sign boasting opening hours from 8 am to 8 pm, but surprise! The kitchen decides to clock out at 3 pm. Talk about a plot twist! Note to self: next time, demand clarity on when the food train leaves the station.
Ah, the lone ranger waiter, bravely tackling the entire dining floor single-handedly. Kudos to her for holding down the fort, but shame on the management for their apparent rudeness and chaotic organization. Maybe they were too busy arguing over who gets the last meatball?
Entrees: The zucchini flowers were as stuffed as your hopes for a flavorful experience, sadly lacking seasoning. Meanwhile, the meatballs swooped in as the unsung heroes, surprisingly decent and generously portioned. No complaints there, except maybe for the missing flavor party.
Mains: Ever heard of the phrase "too much salt in the sauce spoils the ragu"? Well, it seems like the kitchen staff missed that memo, rendering the veal ragu gnocchi utterly inedible. And don't get me started on the chicken parmigiana; it could've been a DIY project from a kid's cookbook. Frozen schnitzel, slap on some sauce, ham, and cheese, and voilĂ ! A wilted salad adds insult to injury.
Dessert: A glimmer of hope dashed by a lackluster attempt at authenticity. Sure, it tasted alright, but "decent" isn't exactly what you'd expect from an Italian finale.
In the end, you're left wishing for a time machine to un-eat the whole ordeal. Lesson learned: when craving Italian, stick to the real deal or risk wasting your time, money, and precious stomach space on culinary letdowns. Buon...
Read moreI recently visited this café with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. While there were some positive aspects, there were also notable areas that need improvement.
Let's start with the positives. The café had a pleasant ambiance with comfortable seating and a cozy atmosphere. The décor was visually appealing and created a relaxed setting for patrons to enjoy their meals or drinks.
However, I must mention that the service provided by the staff was below par. It was evident that some of the staff members were untrained or inexperienced. They seemed unsure about the menu offerings and struggled to answer basic questions or provide recommendations. This lack of knowledge was frustrating and took away from the overall dining experience
Moving on to the food, it was average at best. While the presentation was decent, the flavors and quality of the dishes did not stand out. The menu lacked innovation, and the taste of the food did not leave a lasting impression. It would be beneficial for the café to focus on enhancing their culinary offerings to make them more enticing and memorable. This café has potential, but there are areas that require attention. Improving the training and knowledge of the staff members would greatly enhance the overall customer experience. Additionally, putting more effort into creating innovative and flavorful dishes would help differentiate the café from its competitors. I hope the management takes these suggestions into account to elevate the café's offerings and improve the overall dining experience for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at EQ Restaurants in Gungahlin, and I have some thoughts to share about my visit.
To start, we ordered the sweet potatoes and corn fritters, and they were an absolute delight. The dish was not only flavorful but also quite filling, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a satisfying meal.
However, when it came to the spaghetti marinara, I must admit I was a bit disappointed. The dish was on the oily and salty side, which, in my opinion, overpowered the natural flavors of the seafood. I believe that if the sauce were a bit lighter, it would greatly improve this dish. That said, I'm willing to give it another try in the future, as sometimes dishes can have off days.
On a positive note, I thoroughly enjoyed the summer smoothie, which was a perfect, refreshing choice, especially on a warm day.
The restaurant itself offers a spacious and pleasant atmosphere, which is ideal for a relaxed dining experience. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which added to the overall positive impression.
In conclusion, I'd rate EQ Restaurants with 4 stars. While there was a hiccup with the spaghetti marinara, the overall dining experience, including the ambiance and friendly service, makes it a place I'd be happy to return to and explore more...
