Terrible Experience as a Delivery Driver

I recently had the misfortune of picking up an order from Grease Monkey Restaurant as a delivery driver for DoorDash, and it was an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I'm compelled to leave this one-star review to share my frustration.

Firstly, upon arriving at the restaurant, I was met with indifference from the staff. I asked for my pickup order, and one lady, who seemed completely disinterested in her job, took my order and then proceeded to start washing dishes right in front of me. It was as if I was invisible or inconsequential. I couldn't believe the lack of professionalism and common courtesy.

After what felt like an eternity, another lady finally acknowledged my presence and helped me out with the order. It was abundantly clear that the first lady had completely forgotten about my order, and if it weren't for the second lady, I might have been waiting there indefinitely.

As a delivery driver, time is of the essence, and such a blatant display of incompetence and apathy is beyond frustrating. I rely on timely pickups to provide the best service to my customers, and Grease Monkey Restaurant's staff failed miserably in this regard.

I strongly advise other delivery drivers to think twice before picking up orders from this establishment. It's evident that they prioritize washing dishes over fulfilling customer orders, and that's simply unacceptable. Grease Monkey Restaurant needs a serious overhaul in their customer service and operational efficiency. Until then, I'll be avoiding this place...

We usually love Grease Monkey and were really looking forward to our meal but a few things went quite wrong last night and unfortunately were not able to be fixed at the time because it was close to closing time.

We ordered our food in store (Gungahlin) at 9:00pm last night for takeaway. We had ordered a pizza and burger meal. At one point when we were waiting in store a female member of stuff informed us that they had run out of a particular topping for the pizza and asked us if we would like to have the pizza without that topping or wait an extra 15 minutes for them to run to the shops and get more of that topping. We opted to wait and get that topping because we were really looking forward to it. Not long after that we were handed food, we thanked the staff and left.

When we got home we realised that the pizza was missing the topping that we had waited for and that the bag of food had someone else’s name on it. We called up the store to let them know of the mistake but no one picked up, I think the store must have closed, so my husband left a voicemail highlighting the mistake and left his phone number. Sadly we still haven’t heard back. The pizza did have our name on it and was fine to eat but we couldn’t cut our loses and eat the other person’s meal because it was all meat and we are both vegetarians.

I recently visited Grease Monkey and I must say that the experience was exceptional. I ordered the "Greasy Burger" and it was hands down the best burger I have ever had. The burger buns were incredibly soft, and they almost melted in my mouth. The "Greasy sauce" complemented the burger, lettuce, tomato, and onions perfectly. I also enjoyed the chips as they were seasoned to perfection and went really well with the burger and sauce. The sweet potato chips were also amazing.

Apart from the food, the alcohol selection was also very impressive. I tried one of their refreshing drinks, and it was perfect for the hot summer day. They also have a nice selection of soda for those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages.

The service was excellent, and the ambiance was very welcoming. The pizzas and Philly cheese steaks were equally amazing, and the quality of ingredients used was clearly visible. The chicken wings were also absolutely delicious, and the seasoning was spot on.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend Grease Monkey to anyone who wants to enjoy delicious food and drinks in a great atmosphere. Five stars for the food, service, ambiance, and...
