I went to this restaurant a few days ago and had a really good experience. When I and my friend came in, the chef at the bar and staff members welcomed us. I tried their new menu, and all of them were amazing. Yuzu salmon salad was our entree, and the salmon, cream cheese, and yuzu dressing went well together. It definitely increased the appetite. I ordered two main meals, which are cheese pork katsu and soft shell crab roll. The pork katsu was filled with a large portion of mozzarella cheese, and I loved it so much. If you are a cheese lover, I strongly recommend this menu!! Needless to say, the soft shell crab roll was so good. The size of roll was big enough to share. I really enjoyed the food and will definitely come back again 😄

The food at this venue was tasty. It was presented beautifully, indicating attention to detail and passion for the craft. However, I found the prices to be somewhat overbearing which left a bittersweet taste to the otherwise enjoyable dishes. Upon entry, we were met with a statement about the kitchen closing soon, instead of a warm greeting. This came off as more of a warning than a welcome and set a less than ideal tone for the night. The service left room for improvement. Our drink order was completely overlooked. Given the initial encounter, I chose not to remind them, accepting that it might be a futile endeavor. While the food certainly impressed, the overall experience could use a fair bit of polish.

Ok, this was bad. Myself and my partner ordered the Tempura Udon for lunch. Menu stated Prawns, yes PrawnS, and VegetableS. What we got however is 1 crumbed prawn each and a tiny Okonomyaki pancake with some sort of vegetable coloured things imbedded in it. We asked the lovely waitress if this was normal as the menu stated Prawns not Prawn. She went off and checked with the chef and confirmed that 1 prawn was standard. We mentioned that you should change your menu description of "Prawns" then, and she just nodded and went off. For the same price we have had much better Tempura Udon in the ACT, it wasn't even a proper tempura batter, looked and tasted like frozen crumbed prawns, yuck. VERY Disappointed.

We recently visited this restaurant for a family lunch and ordered a large amount of food. While the experience was generally okay, it wasn’t quite as good as we remembered from previous visits.

One of the biggest downsides of the meal was the sashimi platter. Unfortunately, some of the tuna pieces were brown and had a noticeable off smell. When we brought this to the server's attention, they took the platter back and removed the tuna, replacing it with salmon. However, they left the other sashimi pieces that had been in contact with the spoiled tuna, which raised some hygiene concerns for us.

Additionally, the server seemed unhappy with our request, which made the situation feel a bit uncomfortable.

Overall, while the rest of the meal was acceptable, the quality and service were not up to the standard we had come to expect from...

Have been going to Kokoro regularly for at least three years and have continued to come back even though at times the food quality and service has been hit or miss... however we visited on Easter Sunday and don’t think we’ll be back. After being seated we were ignored while three other tables who arrived after us were seated, given water and all had their orders taken. We walked out after approx15 mins. We felt invisible. Yes it was a public holiday, yes you only had two staff serving but if you’re not going to be able to provide consistent service, don’t bother opening. We noticed many tables were still uncleared.

By the sounds of a reviewer who also visited the same day, it’s just as well we left as I usually order the sashimi and I probably saved myself a stomach ache. There’s no excuse for serving fish that’s not fresh. Lift your...

Kokoro has been first choice restaurant for catching up with girls for many years. However, I was not impressed this time and most probably will not return anytime soon. We waited for a long time for food to be served. Miso soup was brought well before main meal. It was never a case before. It tasted overcooked, seaweed was mashy. Special and expensive sushi rolls were not complete - no fish roe on top. The taste was bland. When we asked why sushi rolls did not look like in the menu, we were told that there's a new chef and he has different vision. We however were offered fish roe on a side after our enquiry. All of us, 4 people at the same table, were served at different times, which is unusual for a good restaurant. Neither service nor food from Kokoro is something I...
