271 Coffee — Restaurant in Dubbo

While in Dubbo for work, I Googled the most popular café for breakfast with the highest reviews. Hands down, 271 Café came up the winner, and was only a couple of minutes’ drive from the hotel at 271 Darling Street Dubbo.

Russ and Kyra have created such a welcoming space and the way they greet everyone with a smile is such an amazing way to start the day. Looking around at the customers, it was clear that they were regulars, sitting back having a chat or grabbing their coffee on the way to work.

For brekkie, I settled on the bacon and egg roll (which my colleague was very jealous of!) while he had the chicken, avocado and mayo toastie. The bacon was cooked perfectly; the relish tasted like it was home-made and the bun is a locally made milk “square”….same as a milk bun but in the shape of a square. Quirky and tasty!

We went back the next day, and it was just as good as the day before. As my colleague had food envy, he had the bacon and egg roll this time and he’s still raving about it! 😉

If you’re looking for a local spot for brekkie or lunch, you really can’t go past 271 Café. It’s going to be my go-to whenever I am in Dubbo….make...

A fantastic little cafe for a cuppa and a snack! They mostly do takeaways, but have a few tables and chairs, plus plenty of stools to sit while you wait.

I especially loved that they actually have the complete ingredients lists on their allergy friendly foods, not just general gluten free or dairy free indications. It made it so much easier to choose something I could safely eat. They were also very knowledgeable about the ingredients of the breads and products they use to make their meals!

Loved stopping by 271 Coffee this morning! The vibe is super friendly and relaxed — locals chatting over great coffee, fresh food, and just a really good energy all around. I was impressed with how clearly they list ingredients for allergy-friendly options, which made it so easy to find something safe to eat. Staff are awesome — welcoming and helpful — and the coffee is seriously top notch. If you're in Dubbo, definitely make time to swing by!
