Waste of money and time. Entered at 8.30am for buffet breakfast, lady happily snapped up $22 each from us for the experience. Ok, the food…. I can’t even be bothered to review this place, just like the cook couldn’t be bothered to stock the buffet with food. Every lid I opened was empty or just scraps left over that others passed on. I cooked my toast, hoping a restock would happen whilst it cooked. No such luck, 3 small cuts of undercooked bacon remained in the tray, I took 2 and placed on my toast. I waited for hash browns, mushrooms, beans and eggs to come, all arrived with a lengthy wait between each one that came out of the kitchen. This cool has a hard time multi-tasking obviously. I see an identical review to mine 12 months ago so nothing has changed. The same lady she described heard me complaining at my table that they took our money and there is no food but she remained silent. The food itself was putrid, could barely eat what we had and that was only eaten out of desperation as we had to go on a tour and wouldn’t eat again for some time. I am not sure how these businesses get good reviews, I really believe its all the 2 minute noodle home chefs out there that eat in places like this and find the food amazing to what they eat at home. This place does not deserve...
Read moreAsked at reception, if a booking was required for happy hour at the restaurant and was told yes. So I placed a booking.
I arrived during happy hour and was seated in the restaurant at a table, I proceeded to tell the maitre'd we were there for happy hour, must have been ignored, or seating at tables is normal.
Decided to get some desert, we ate dinner elsewhere thankfully and when we placed the order we were asked asked to move from table. As we were not eating a main meal to free up the table.
At the time we were one of 3 tables being used for eating food, in a venue of 20+ tables. So we moved to the bar and finish the one drink we had already ordered.
Obviously our sort (the desert only crowd) was not acceptable for for the packed out restaurant (15+ tables available).
Upon leaving the same team member of the restaurant then harassed us for a positive review. So as I promised here is my honest review of our time in that restaurant.
So we retired back to our room as the whole experience had made it unhappy hour. My advice is to get Kebabs from across the road and beers from reception.

Read moreI cant really say there's an atmosphere because when I usually visit it's on a week night with not too many other people there but I can give the place five stars for its food. I ALWAYS have the steak - and why wouldnt you - its renowned for its steak as the name suggests. Cooked perfectly, tasty as any steak Ive ever had and with nice vegies to go with it. The biggest steak is the one pictured here and I struggled but got through it. The staff deserve a mention. Usually they are French backpackers and they are very attentive and friendlt, always stopping to have a chat about their visit to Australia and their homeland. Oh, and the drinks are not expensive as they have a happy hour that brings a glass of red down to a very reasonable price. When in Dubbo, stay here and visit their...
