One star for the friendly staff.

The food is very bland, has no seasoning, eggs were undercooked, and the chutney had hair in it. They didn’t even offer us salt and pepper on the table, although we noticed other tables had salt and pepper. The lady who I believe is the owner/manager seemed a bit of a “pick me girl”, referring to myself and my friend as “you two” as if we were fish swimming in a bowl. A bit of politeness would have gone a long way when delivering our food to us, and may have made the food half enjoyable just with a good attitude. We hadn’t even received our food yet, but were almost presented with the bill for food we hadn’t even received yet. Too scared to speak up about our poor tasting food after we overheard the manager/owner talk to her own staff. Extremely overpriced for the services provided and the bland tasting food, not even half an avocado with the La Lah breakfast, maybe a quarter of an avo if you’re lucky! Unfortunately this was our first and last breakfast we had on our trip down south, as we don’t really eat breakfast, and is most definitely a memorable one for all the...

+1 for a racist and uncomfortable feeling at this place I have to corroborate with some of the other reviews that noted either racist treatment, comments or “a feeling” whilst dining at this establishment. I did note that most of the (foreign - mainly Europe/Latin American) staff were pleasant, however the one local server we encountered - 100% a Karen, 50% the owner? - was as described in other reviews i.e. asked us to pay the bill mid-meal, overcharged us by including extra meals without confirming, and worst of all put on a racist accent whilst dealing with us. Whilst I gave her the benefit of the doubt and initially assumed she was having a stroke or some other mental issues but after reading other people’s reviews I have a feeling that it’s not. For these reasons you get a 1-star guys, you can do better than this!

Curiously enough the majority of the hugely overpriced menu (as noted by other reviews) is Asian-inspired (soba noodles, bao’s, Nasi Goring) but unsure if this is deliberate or...

Went here for breakfast with my partner. I ordered a bacon egg roll, it is what it is. Partner ordered the "la lah" which looked good but when the poached eggs were cut open they leaked snotty, uncooked egg white over the plate. Was offered two more eggs but requested they re-plate the meal as well as it was all in a pool of raw egg white. It came back with rock hard eggs, no avacado and dried out crouton like toast. The whole thing was clearly thrown carelessly back together. Requested eggs AGAIN and the missing avacado. Next time it came back it had complementary hairs in the mushroom. I had long finished my breakfast by this time so we gave up and went to the bakery. You would think a refund would be offered but all I got was "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" repeatedly. I had to ask for a refund and was given one for my partners breakfast only. Terrible experience, food and customer service. Not how we wanted to end our...

Epic! We love eating. Love it! It's our thing. So when a friend recommended Mealup we headed there hoping not to be disappointed. Well we couldn't have asked for more. Nasi Goreng = a perfect blend of sauce, chilli and chicken. The same level as those found in Bali. The Hulk = added bacon, salmon and avocado. I know I'm a pig. But it worked. They blended together perfectly. The sour dough bread was a little difficult to cut and eat but otherwise I couldn't have been happier. My bride ate the French toast and raved about it. Coffee was as good as anything in Perth. We also had a smooth each and they were delicious and fresh. A perfect way to start the day. Do yourself a favour and come to Mealup and pig out, like we did... You won't be disappointed

Don’t come if you are hungry - we are holidaying from Perth and stopped here for brunch/lunch. We spent $140 for a family of 5 (eating out is NOT cheap). We bought some drinks alongside the meals. We ordered the “lala” which is big breakfast priced at $33. We were disappointed with the serving size of this dish compared to other big breakfasts for a less cost elsewhere. I had the French toast which was lovely. The coffee a little stronger for my liking. Lovely service and well presented food.

Went for Friday lunch and it was very quiet. Wife had the grilled salmon which she said was cooked perfectly. Came with roasted heritage carrots which were delightful. My scotch fillet wasn’t sensational. Small size compared to my one at Amelia Park Lodge, asked for medium and it came medium well as the cut was thin. Duck fat potatoes crunchy but not spectacular. Would’ve stayed for drinks but not a huge menu or cakes in the cabinet. Service was bit clinical but efficient.
