I had booked a weekend getaway in Dunsborough for my partner's birthday and wanted to dine at Pour House on one of the two nights we are here. I tried to find a menu but their website didn't upload a menu. I looked for an online booking form and it turns out they didn't have one. There was also nothing to indicate we should call to book. So when we walked in on Friday night to get a table for two, we were told the establishment is fully booked. Understandable as there are restrictions. But they should have been clearer about bookings being essential. Restrictions were lifted today, so we tried calling to make a reservation. We called 6 times and no one picked up. Over the period of an hour we had attempted to make contact 6 times yet for a place that has 20 or so staff, it was surprising to see no one had picked up the phone. So we decided to try our luck and walk in to get a table. The entire place has reopened and we were shown upstairs to the bar for a table. The server talked to another one upstairs to ask if they had tables for us. Score. We got one. But no one attended to us. No menus were brought over. No one greeted us. Yet when two people came in after us they were brought menus and even water. One of the servers kept glancing at us out of the corner of his eye but never came over. We had to go up and ask for a menu and at that point I didn't feel like I want to dine at a place that had such poor service. My partner got a beer and we left after. This place could have been good, but the lack of...
Read moreArrived at 7.45pm 10 people. Confirmed Was there for dinner. Got seated. 2 menus available for 15 people. One of those had the wine page missing. We went to the bar to order drinks. Very slow service. By the time we got back to the table it was about 8.05pm. Started to look at the food menu and tried to get someone to take our order and were told kitchen was closed ! If we wanted food the only items available were pizzas. No problem with them having to close early but the person who seated us should have told us we were on a time line. We played the game and ordered pizzas.. they were served and no napkins or plates provided. Went to get them was told not to touch them.asked could they be brought to table....they never came....went back to get some was told off again. Someone arrived with side plates and napkins...then a while later the person who seated is eventually arrived with 2 buckets if cutlery and napkins when we were just about finished eating. She blamed the new staff for the mix up with food service even though she seated us close to closing time....then said it's written in the menus that they close kitchen at 8pm...would maybe seen that had there been even 1 menu for 2 people.....also bottle beers were warn and was told that's what happens when it's hot ! Asked for ice bucket for beers...was told they don't have any....only wine holders that take 1 bottle at a time. Even the tap beer was about 6 degrees. All in all a...

Visited a few years back and very much enjoyed it. Before visiting again last week we saw some negative reviews but decided to ignore based on past experience. Bad idea. Pizzas looked good on insta so we asked for pizza menu, no pizzas on a Sunday? Odd. It was 5.50pm and we were told a couple large groups were due at 6pm so to get orders in fast as the kitchen was already running low. The place was at about 1/10 capacity so this was strange. My partner got the steak which was lovely, I ordered the king Prawn salad. There were only 4 prawns and after removing the shell this doesn't leave a lot of meat. Taste was nice though. While we were eating we overheard staff tell a table they were now out of steak, lamb burgers and beef burgers. As far as I could see these 'large groups' had still not arrived though. After dinner I went to the bar to order desert and was advised there is a 40 min wait for desert ad the kitchen was swamped. The place was still more than half empty. We left and got desert elsewhere. Good beer options buy they were overpriced. Won't...
