The atmosphere was buzzing at Wayfinder on a Sunday night.

The Spiced potatoes with pickled onions were great. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with the pickled onions adding an interesting counter note.

I loved the Duck tostada with mole and avocado crema. It was a masterpiece. I've never liked mole but it was absolutely delicious. I could eat another, and another, right now. Perfectly balanced with lovely light spice and heartiness held together by the creamy avocado and topped by the textural crunch of the tostada.

My partner loved the Black garlic vinaigrette on the Wayfinder market garden salad with shaved zucchini and cauliflower puree.

The Tempeh bumbu kacang satay was a fantastic modernised twist.

The Lamb shoulder with vegetable and herb couscous was very successful. The shoulder was delightfully tender and packed with flavour. The couscous was light and delicious though it didn't suit the meatiness of the jus accompanying the lamb.

The place to go for a PERFECT experience 10/10 Wow what a fabulous early tasting and dinner.. The décor is stylish but not too formal. Relaxing vibe and friendly staff with excellent service made it an outing to remember. A great addition to our town My friend had the Duck Tostadas, followed by main of Lamb Cutlets paired with a couple of glasses of the Cab Sav. I opted for the Fish of the day and the Small Wonder Riesling. We shared the dessert Chocolate Mousse with a slight taste of salt, Raspberry Jelly and meringue shards which was to die for and not sickly sweet, Congrats to the Chef. I have to say it’s been many years since I had the perfect meal. The food presentation, the balance of flavours and proportions were faultless and the Riesling was one of the best I’ve tasted. My daughter and her boyfriend had a booking for last Saturday night. When they arrived they were told there were no tables, seated at the bar instead (overlooking the dishwashing area) and offered a bar menu. They were told they could only have this limited menu as they were sitting at the bar and this was all they could order. They said again that they booked a table and were told they had overbooked. No apology no compensation. They are a young couple and this was a special occasion for them. They decided to leave and go to Palmer's Winery and Restaurant instead where they received impeccable service and incredible food. Your loss Wayfinder.
