Wild and Woods — Restaurant in Dunsborough

Very bad experience, made to feel uncomfortable. Hair in food….

My partner and I have been to wild and woods in the past and enjoyed it so we thought we would come back.

However, after starting our food we both found hairs in our breakfast!

We were both put off by the food so I discreetly asked a waiter for some help in which she said we could have a full refund.

she goes to get the manager to sort out our issue, in which the manager approaches us making a giant scene in front of all the other customers. Which was highly unprofessional.

offering us two drinks on the house instead for compensating. despite the gesture we already had drinks so we obviously didn’t want any.

I then politely requested to just have the refund which she then announced loudly “well your food has been touched but I suppose I could do a refund”. In an attempt to make us feel bad for asking?

I still thanked her for it regardless, but then she goes on about stating it’s strange we always get good reviews here which she still is yelling out loud so everyone can hear

discretion is important in hospitality as no one really likes to make a scene which should be noted, and it isn’t fair on any customer to be felt bad for a situation especially one which they weren’t at fault for. Instead of vocalizing opinions out loud to make a scene they should focus on the customers individual experience as it is that very reason we will definitely not be returning...

My husband and I came to eat breakfast here on our way home from Busselton. The food came out quick which was a plus. I had eggs, bacon, toast and a smoothie, while my husband had what they called a "sausage roll" and a chocolate milkshake. The only reason I am giving the place 4 starts, instead of 3, is because the drinks were really good and my food was delicious. However, for the price we paid, I would have expected a bit more. I asked for a double portion of bacon and what came looked like one portion. We loved the food, but unfortunately won't come back soon because of the price of a simple breakfast. Husband did not enjoy the "sausage roll" because that's not what it was. It was more like pastry with a curry meat inside. Which would have been fine if they just labelled it that way, but they didn't. All in all, if you don't mind paying a lot for a simple, small breakfast, then this...

Had such a great experience here! We walked in and were greeted with a beautiful smiley face and welcoming attitude. As we went in quiet early, the Chef hadn’t started yet but were advised we could pick anything in the window or wait just a few short moments until the chef started. We chose to wait for the chef. Lots of people started arriving. As people went up to order we followed as the chef had just started. The staff were so attentive and observant that we had fallen to the back of the line. They addressed this and the Chef herself came out to our table to ask us what we’d like as she would cook our order before the big tables as we were there earlier. In this day and age customer service like this is a rarity. The staff have such a lovely, positive attitude and genuinely seem happy to be there. Highly reccomend...
