Under new management since June 2025. Layout hasn’t changed. My wife had the daily goldband snapper with nori butter sauce and sautĆ© greens and she loved it. I had the popular steak sanga which was a really good because the toasted thick cut sourdough had been buttered. Only a few hand cut chips with skin on but it turned out the right amount as i was nice and replete. My wife asked for mug of black coffee with cold pouring cream on the side. Cup was pre warmed and the coffee was both nice tasting and piping hot. Wait staff (woman may have been co owner) were friendly, efficient and didn’t make us feel rushed. Reasonable selection of sweet items in the cabinet and biscuits, friands and pain au chocolates above. Not much atmosphere on a Tuesday off season drizzly winter day but would be good for people watching on the outside tables when it’s warmer. Will definitely be back

Been our favourite for years, we learnt that the venue has changed ownership and sometimes that isnt always for the best... HOWEVER We visited today (10/08/25) and had the most amazing breakfast! The outdoors area has had some much needed (and beautiful built) cover. With some nice lighting that im sure at night looks awesome. The menu is "like always" fresh with plenty of options. The 3 young ladies running the floor were excellent šŸ‘Œ, coffee was perfect, both meals were 10/10... With some warmer weather on the horizon, a seat here for dinner on a summers evening is going to be very hard to come by.... We look forward to visiting for dinner sometime in the near future! Sorry no pictures of our meals, they were too good to wait 🤣

In the area for 3 days and tried this new place. FANTASTIC. How lucky the locals are to have such a gem in the neighbourhood. Friendly, attentive staff that go over and above to ensure you are happy. Burger was succulent, flavoursome with unique flavours and presented so well. Steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. Gnocchi was to-die-for pillowy and melt-in-your-mouth with stunning fresh artichoke. I ordered a pasta (off menu) to suit my dietary requirements and it was perfect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this brilliant new restaurant!!!! 🌟

Disappointing breakfast at what has in the past been a great spot. Arrived at 10:30am and ordered two ice long blacks, waited 30 min for them while cafe was not overly busy. Followed up and our docket was right at the end of the pass. It was clear that the waiter forgot to place our order as the table seated next to us who arrived and ordered after us received all their food and drinks while we were still waiting for our coffee. After almost one hour we were finally served food and I was served mouldy strawberries on my French toast. Part of the sauce so not just a garnish. Gross. I would have eaten some of the mould for sure and I’ve been feeling sick from it all day. The worst part was the lack of apology, and the ā€˜what do you want us to do about it’ when I returned my plate to the manager at the counter after eating part of the breakfast and starting to notice the mould on the strawberries. I never even leave reviews but your managers attitude sucked and it let you down. I have run hospitality businesses like yours for over a decade and I taught baristas to make coffee for 3 years in my last role. Maybe you guys were having a rough morning? I get it. But an apology or acknowledgment for stuffing up a customers order or perhaps offering to comp our coffees or offering the customer something else to eat quickly in such a situation is what is required. You offered nothing and I had to ask for it to be taken off the bill after your chef inspected it. Very disappointing. I walked away from your venue feeling annoyed, hungry and...

Went there for Saturday lunch we sat down and ordered out 3 meals I got the vegetarian pasta and my friend got the same pasta with the prawns add on. When the food arrived mine had prawns and he’s had a sea food mix in it. We told the waitress she took them back we waited another 20minutes and they brought the new food to us. And to our surprise again mine had pawns in it again. So I mentioned this to the waitress again and she seemed quite unhappy with me. When she took it over to the chef I could see him getting angry about it. Then within about 2 minutes I got my food given back to me. While eating it I found little bits of the shell in the pasta. All they did was pick it out and give it back. The reason why I’m writing this review is because they got my order wrong 3 times. Picked the prawns out of the food and gave it back. And didn’t even think that I could have been allergic to shell fish. They said sorry but you could tell they didn’t mean it or care. The service was probably the worst service I’ve had in any cafe...
