Vishal's Kebab Shop — Restaurant in East Gosford

Have been to this shop several times and from the first time I went it deteriorated each visit. Today took first prize and I will now never return . Each time I have ordered a very simple beef kebab with only three ingredients after the beef , each time there has been a very different amount and combination of these three ingredients making it almost inedible . Today I ordered the usual and upon unwrapping my kebab the top 4 inches had absolutely nothing in it but the wrap. Had a minuscule amount of cheese which you pay extra for and the meat was not sliced thinly but in chunks ! The entire time I was there the person serving me had his phone to his ear , even whilst serving me ! Maybe if he’d focused more on me , the paying customer instead of talking on his phone my meal may have been made properly . I also ordered another kebab for my partner whom upon opening her kebab found out that he hadn’t even put two of the ingredients onto it at all !! Very disappointing and as I said , I had given them many opportunities to make good on my first experience but they only got worse each time . Will not be returning . Chicken Kebab: with lettuce,onion and tabouli. The chicken was loaded with flavour. Not too oily which allowed the bread to compliment the textures and the fresh ingredients came through each bite. I asked for garlic sauce and it was the perfect amount to compliment the tabouli.

Hot Chips: They were delicious! I am fussy about my chips I want them perfect and they were. Crispy but not dry, seasoned just right They weren't underdone or overcooked. The colour on the chips you can tell they were done right!

Hot Chilli Sauce: I got this on the side as a trial and it costs $2.50 but I can tell you it's worth it. A kind of altered blend of a house chilli sauce. I applied some in small portions and it literally turned this kebab into an absolute knockout!

Ginger Beer: I washed it down with a nice ginger beer which was a great choice because it's not too sweet compared to your standard carbonated drinks and it had great synergy with the kebab and chips. Highly recommended!

Everytime I come in, blissfully having forgotten my last experience, they wrought me! Fleeced! Highway robbery! If you're not paying attention they'll put through a stack of chips with 1 vegetarian falafel type thing, as $26, as though itnwas a snackpack with additional extras! It ended up $16. Still, wow.

The $15 kebabs - buy 2 and you'll be charged $6 extra for tabouleh and cheese, regardless ofnwhether you want half cheese, it's $2.

Make the trip to Kermits - everywhere else sucks.

How do you burn a kebab you didn't even press? I know how, im just saying.

They rely on people not realising the markup.

The board says "extra cheese $2" Not "cheese - $2" Failing to follow the format of EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE BOARD! Then, since you're already there, you order.
