Came in on a Friday morning for some coffee and food. The coffee was served very quickly and tasted fantastic. Ordered the crab croquettes and the eggs were cooked to perfection with that lovely runny yolk in the middle. The croquettes were crispy on the outside and with great texture on the inside. Well balanced flavour and umami that hits the palette. The salad was a highlight that gives a bit of citrus and tanginess that complements the croquettes. Staff were very friendly as well. Highly recommended and would come back again!

Mr Neal, the boss and counter attendant, told me he started this '9 Seeds' cafe 9 years ago. The only thing I could describe for this cafe is 'Busy! Busy! Busy!' Yeap, people love the coffee here. The house coffee was well balanced in taste with a bit of roasted smell and very slight sourness, good body and smooth. Good and friendly staff. This nice and good size cafe is just located beside the busy Marmion St, Fremantle. Free roadside parking bays, and easy for a quick pick up. Cheers! (2021-07)

2023: we went back for breakfast because it was really good, unfortunately the quality of food has dropped, the menu on their on their website is very different to the actual menu in the cafe, very disappointed! The food was alright, but certainly not as good as before. ______________ 2022: Nice breakfast place, we had the "fill up" and "Cured salmon salad", the hash was good. I really like the cured salmon salad with sweet potato hummus and beetroot couscous, generous portions.

9 seeds is one of my favourite cafes. Always amazing food and service. But today there was one major thing that let them down: the music selection.

See, ordinarily the music is great. Today, however, Taylor Swift was making her racket on the speakers.

Now, it wouldn't be a problem if it was one, maybe two songs. But that wasn't the case, old chum. Because Taylor was playing for the entire duration of my lunch.

You might say, I'm unreasonable and that Taylor is not completely terrible. And to that I say, poppycock. Never has there been a more unsuitable artist to make music for dining at lunch time.

I love you 9 Seeds, but please don't subject me to this torment again.

I'm on my way home to try and stop the bleeding from my ears.

If anyone has any advice to get "Say You'll Remember Me" out of my head, please...

First and last time for me today. I went at 845 to have breakfast with my granddaughter. Her order, bagel with salmon, came when I had nearly finished. She wanted her bagel toasted, it was clarified at time of ordering the food, the person with an attitude issue, was ready to place it in the microwave. When she delivered, I indicated it was meant to be a "together breakfast", she replied: here, breakfast together now. There was a hair inside. The Senior Lady was training te young man at the till, who took our order. She was making it obvious he wasn't doing it right. Inappropriate attitude to have, poor service, mediocre food. Ciao and adieu for...

This cafe has been a staple in this area for years. And has recently arranged for a hamburger business to take over in the evenings, so both businesses can share overheads. BRILLIANT! I've only ever come across this once before, but it's a GREAT idea - everyone's a winner!

I go there for the burgers - saves cooking, if I'm running late - and the burgers a delicious. So are their chips, if you want a side of fries.

I must make a point of going there during the day, to sample the cafe as well, and report back here on that, too. UPDATE - I AM going there for lunch - SOON. Just spotted a "must have"...
