I never write reviews, ever. But after today’s experience, I figured out how—and felt like this place deserved the shoutout.

I’ve walked past this cafe a hundred times on my way to Woolies, and it’s always packed. Today, I finally gave in and popped in for a quick coffee and a bite.

I ordered a classic bacon and egg burger and an almond cap. First of all, the presentation was lush—like, rich-looking lush. Not trying too hard, just… quietly confident. Then came the taste. I won’t lie—was I a little stoned from a cheeky gummy? Sure. But even without that boost, the food and coffee were honestly spot on. Properly delicious.

The playlist? Elite. Vibes? Immaculate. And the prices weren’t those inflated “2025 nonsense” prices—just fair, how they should be.

We visited specifically for breakfast after seeing their appealing photos. Ordered the "Benny" and "Omelet" along with a mocha and a cappuccino, totaling $60. While their sandwich display looked promising, the breakfast itself was underwhelming. The sourdough wasn’t toasted—it appeared pale and untoasted on both plates. The two staff members at the counter were noticeably unfriendly, offering no warmth or welcome. After finishing, our table remained uncleared, and no one checked in to see if we enjoyed the meal.

Chut and Co is located in a quiet, small shopping complex across from Woolworths. They would benefit greatly from improving the following:

I was really looking forward to enjoying a quiet dine-in coffee experience, but unfortunately, there was a clear lack of attention to detail. I asked to dine in and instead received an overheated coffee in a takeaway cup — not ideal when you’re trying to relax and enjoy the moment. I had hoped to pair that with a crispy, juicy sourdough ham and cheese toastie, but was instead given croissants, which wasn’t what I ordered or expected.
