The Deck — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

The location and atmosphere at the resort is excellent. The quality of food is dismal, I've never had food rage so much in my life. Ordered the avocado smash on sourdough with a side of grikked tomato and spinach. The sourdough was 2 hunks of white bread barely toasted with avocado smeared all over it. There was half a grilled tomato and about a dozen spinach lameaves (raw) chucked over the top. Somehow I was charged extra for 12 raw spinach keaves- I was expecting this to be cooked. Surely this isn't a too-high expectation. The poached eggs were overdone and barely edible. This took 35 mins to arrive at the table when thr restaurant was pretty quiet. Stayed at the resort for my nieces birthday, and the staff down at the cafe were absolutely awesome! So nice to allow us to have her party in the dining area, let us use the fridge for the cake and helped us with anything we needed. They also gave the birthday girl and her friend FREE ice cream scoops, and when we went back for dinner that night they gave her a free slushy as well!! They were so lovely, what a beautiful team they have. Food was also awesome! Had the chicken burger and was simple but delicious! Only thing I can criticise was the lack of variety in bottle and canned drinks. Amazing crew...

I was on holidays from nz and Ive goy to say that I have never experienced this type of hospitality, I have travelled all over the world and stayed at a decent amount of resorts and I’ve got to say that there was one very good server named “eamaon” and he really made me feel at home and comfortable in my own skin and I believe from what I’ve seen in the past he is the best drink and food service I have ever gotten!
