Nobby Beach is a small pocket in the Mermaid Beach area of the Gold Coast shoreline, it’s Between two fairly high populated beach zones (Broadbeach and Burleigh Heads ). It’s a low rise zoned area with minimal apartments going higher than around 8 levels (few of them), a local community of permanent residents and during holiday season you’ll see families creating memories here. Thank goodness we don’t experience as much of the drunken nightlife as the more populated areas of the Gold Coast, although, over the past 3 years or so we’ve seen the local off street shops accomodating new young adults taking their alcoholic rights of passage at a few new additions of bars that have sprouted up! All in all, it’s a settled area that accommodates anyone, who gravitates towards a slower paced environment, minimal to moderate traffic (except for the Gold Coast Highway) which isn’t a huge bother throughout the week weekdays and off peak season - peak season is still still pleasant as far as crowds are concerned My in-laws purchased a unit here in the 80’s, a modest 2 bedroom unit, nothing flask like some more updated apartments here …. but the fact that we can spend a lot of time here (weekends or weeks at a time) from the ever increasing population of Brisbane City, is enough for us! Hubby & I are in our own bubble without the chaos like some of the other coastline suburbs 🐶👬🏽🐶

Life Saver Beach Patrolled Great little beach away from Surfers Paradise. Sqeaky white sandy beach. Shower near the stairwell which is handy to wash off the sand. Overhead Shower and lower tap for feet. Stairs or vehicle ramp access No dogs allowed TIP Arrive before 8:30am to secure parking, like anywhere along the Gold Coast, parking is limited. WHAT TO PACK? Body/boogy board Togs 2 Towels (One to lie on and one to dry yourself) Bottle water Sunscreen Zinc Hat Goggles (if you dislike salt water)

Stunning beach. We almost skipped Gold Coast on our road tour from Sydney to Brisbane. So happy we did not. Such a fresh and young vibe - very different from other, smaller towns on our route. And the view was surprising for me. The skyline looked just like Dubai Marina, a place where I spent almost 10 years of my life. However, the beach was much nicer!
