Loved this cafe, was one of my favs for my visit to GC. The only reason for the 4* rating is that it took 40mins to serve breakfast, and there was only two tables ahead of us in dine in. The food itself was delicious and the staff were very friendly and added to the vibe of the cafe. We ordered the big breakfast and the pancakes for breakfast. The big breakfast was tasty but probably had a little too strong a tomato flavour in the smokey beans. My husband really enjoyed the pancakes. A highlight was the caramel and banana muffin and the hot cross bun, oh and also the peppermint and cacao latte! So good!

First visit to Marie Anita's did not disappoint! I am coeliac and seldom eat out due to the fear of having a reaction, so a cafe that is entirely gluten free sounded way too good to be true! The food was delicious and was out in about 25 minutes. Unfortunately it carried the gluten-free price tag but beggars cannot be choosers, I would definitely eat here again. I enjoyed the buckwheat pancakes, whilst my husband enjoyed a egg and bacon wrap. We also took a custard pastry to go, it was delicious albeit a little on the expensive side.

Loved this place. Between my hubby and I, we are intolerant to gluten, egg and lactose. We barely eat out and going away on holidays are always difficult. So you can imagine our excitement when we came across Marie Anita's while staying in Gold Coast! Let's just say that we were a regular in the 3 days we were there. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great. Tried so many things on the menu but loved their juices, decaf latte and those beans in the big brekkie were to die for. Sad you guys don't ship to Sydney!

I would really like to give this cafe a higher rating, but... we were in yesterday and all was well. Today we get attitude from the girl making coffee because I returned 2 luke warm coffees to her. She starts by offering to add hot water to full cups of cafe mocha, I explain coffee is made with milk and water won't work, she then wants to add more milk, I explain that won't work on an already full cup. She asks in an attempt to obsolve her initial error if I want super hot coffee? I say no, just a normal hot cup of coffee please instead of a luke warm one that I can gulp like a milkshake. The young girl then starts feeling the cup as if to make out as though my request is unreasonable so I ask her to stick her finger in to which she declines and decides to do what she should have to done to start with, thats it, make a new coffee. Ok, coffees are made now and sitting on the bench, I watch as the girl now stuffs around trying to wipe down our old spill stained saucers, maybe washing up here is a chore? So she spends a minute and numerous spent napkings wasting tume cleaning up the old saucers to use again. The cups are so full she keeps spilling them onto the saucer and continues to be trapped in a time loop failing to bring the coffees over whilst they are still hot. 2 minutes pass since coffe was remade (I was timing and understanding why coffees are cold) and finally she plonks down the coffee, cups swimming again in spilt overflow and retreats without a word of courtesy or apology. If you work in customer service and you make a mistake just own it, don't take it out on the customer. Oh, if your still reading and wondering the second coffee was at about 70% of the heat it should of been. As a chef and barista I have a qualifed opinion and only expect the basic not perfection from simple cafes. I can say through observation the food is well presented from an organised kitchen but they do know how to charge and can only assume the expensive cost of organic ingredients determines this. Unfortunately for me it's a no return to this cafe, shame one staff memeber can ruin an...

Went here for breakfast. Some friends who ordered their meals asked for eggs and chose poached eggs as an extra . I ordered poached eggs too and was told they could only do fried (presumably they couldn't be bothered poaching them?)

They took out my big breakfast without the potato hash, making no mention at any point that it was missing.

I realised it was missing and had to go to the counter to query and the man at the counter pretended he couldn't understand me and then said ''Oh yeah we ran out, would you like an extra egg?''.... No I don't want a $2 egg to replace my $6 potato hash.....

After a bit of back and forth I requested a small vege roll from the cabinet to compensate.

It was quite obvious they were hoping I didn't notice that they had ran out of potato hash... They should have mentioned it at the time of ordering or soon after so another breakfast item could be ordered.

Very disappointing and will not return.

Food was pretty...

Disappointing customer experience yesterday. Firstly someone else’s drink order came to our table after a 20 min wait (the cafe was not full) then waited another 15 mins for the pot of English Breakfast tea we originally ordered, when it arrived it was only really hot water, there were no tea leaves, they had run out of infusers apparently, it was a super weak blonde colour….The Manager refused to give a refund. Who doesn’t refund a $5 sub-standard drink to an 82 year old woman, after such a long wait! This Manager definitely didn’t serve ā€œā€¦.with loveā€ as per the cafe chalk board sign. She was also not setting a good example of how to treat customers to the young lady doing the drinks alone.

Third time in as many weeks I’ve witnessed a delay or a lost order and now terrible customer service. Marie Anita’s Cafe had my three chances, plus I took visitors with me, shame it won’t be my local after-all. We won’t...
