Poor quality coffee. Odd taste and served burning hot. Despite having espresso in the shop title. Money better spent elsewhere. Owner doesn't appear to be able to take feedback very well unfortunately.

Some constructive ideas to consider: if a customer is waiting it would be more prudent to serve them than continue chatting (although there is nothing wrong with chatting, it's just more efficient and respectful), regarding temperature considering briefly checking with a food grade thermometer before giving it out. This is commonly done in high volume large chains such as McCafe to ensure customers don't get burnt. Regarding taste, this can be due to a variety of reasons and somewhat subjective, consider trialling different beans and powders or sauces for the chocolate depending on how it is made. Consider being open to feedback for your own shop performance and quality improvement! It's great to have a supportive community but try and be receptive to feedback as ultimately feedback only benefits yourself, not even the individual customer that has spent to the time to even think about you. It simply leaves a poor image to leave a harsh and distasteful reply as a cafe and company from your end. A customer leaving honest feedback is only trying...

Sorry to leave you a bad review guys but I’m pretty hangry after visiting your coffee shop. Clearly I got you on a bad day, compared to all of your other great reviews. I also believe all feedback is GOOD feedback and you need to know about my experience. I ordered a takeaway ham, cheese, tomato, onion toasted sandwich and a large cappuccino. I had been at Robina hospital that morning for several hours before I had to go to work. I was in a hurry and really needed food! I unwrapped my toasted sandwich in the car to have on the way. It was limp, soggy and slightly burnt with barely any filling, 1 very small paper thin piece of ham, 2 quite small slices of tomato (one on each half), the onion literally just on one corner of the whole sandwich and the cheese was almost non existent. It was so bad I walked straight back in a quietly put it on the counter and walked out again, I didn’t even have a bite. No pride or care, just slapped together! I also ordered a large cappuccino, it was so weak, I couldn’t drink that either! I poured it out! I spent roughly $15 on food, I couldn’t eat! Your staff weren’t rude, but not very welcoming towards me either, I felt like a was a bit of a bother to them. Really disappointed and...

Food was beautiful couldn't fault it . Ordered a sarachi chicken burger with chips . It was very good . How ever , the service was disgraceful, the young girl behind the counter was rude, disgusting behaviour . My order was taken to another patron dining in, because the young girl did not actually tell me that the number on the counter was my number . She gave the number to the other customer , hence my order went to them . When I askedwhetemy order was as the other Custer had come in way after me , i believe it was the owner or manager said he was sorry it went to the other table , I said it was her fault as it is her job to know her tables . He agreed then went in to tell I should have taken my number. But then, as I left the young girl to the another patron who was sitting next to us called me * I'm sorry but very rude very disrespectful to the chef & to the owner to literally speak that way about paying customer when they actually are still Infront of you . Never ever have I been so mistreated in any place . So thumbs up to the chef thumbs down to her . Disgusting attitude...

I'm extremely picky with my coffee, always on the hunt for those that have great balance of taste and smell. This one absolutely nailed it! For a small-medium sized Cafe, Dark Fluid has quite a selection in their menu, from sweet to savory delights and healthy chomps. Judging by the cleanliness and attention to detail in the cafe, as well as the presentation of every plate that looks gourmet, sumptuous and appetizing, I must say, I'm very impressed. The lovely couple, Doll and John, who run the cafe, are warm and thoughtful. Just sitting in the corner and watching them interact with their patrons like old friends makes me smile. The exact reason why I'd usually choose to dine in a family run establishment rather than a big cold chain. In my opinion, I've had the best Hash Benny (eggs benedict on hash browns and smoked salmon) and haloumi burger in Dark Fluid. Also the gooey brownies! This is the kind of place that makes me want to come back and try every single item on the menu. See you again very soon!

From the moment we sat at our table, the atmosphere had us settling in for a long, relaxed brunch, exactly what weekends are made for. We ordered our usual mocha, which never disappoints if its made from seven miles roasted beans, rich and smooth as always. The highlight this time? Their Pumpkin Dukkha and Truffled Mushroom Toast. Well balanced meal, beautifully plated, and a total flavour bomb with just the right crunch and creaminess. It really ticks all the boxes for comfort food with a gourmet twist. We missed out on their almond croissants unfortunately this time. It's the kind of café that makes you want to pause life for a moment and just enjoy being present. Already looking forward to our next brunch here. Might even bring a few friends along to join the table next time.

Absolutely adore this establishment. Came here with my family when I visited and have come here every time since. Doll and John are the friendliest people and always show the warmest welcomes. It's a treat to see how they interact with all of their patrons. Nothing but smiles and positive vibes throughout! Everyone here seems like one big family. The coffee is always on point, fresh juices are great too. Highly recommend the pho when it's available, the flavours will leave you wanting more. The hash benny with mushrooms are divine and the chilli omelette are a must try too. I could not recommend a better place to visit! With love, From the Gray Family
