Fish and chips for lunch. Such a simple meal and it can be great or indifferent with so many little things that can make or break a good bite. The Fishbowl takeaway did so many things right. It is a clean open shop with an easy layout with a few quirky decorations to occupy your mind whilst you wait for your order. Not that we had much time as the order came very promptly. If you are not taking away there are tables inside and tables outside too. The tables are very clean. A lovely person brought out not only our meals but a little caddy complete with serviettes, a bottle of vinegar and two sauce bottles and salt and pepper. A very nice touch. We were also provided with two chilled glasses of water. Wow! There were five choices of fish. Pacific Dory( Basa), Hoki, Flake another one and Gold Band snapper at the top pf the range. We had flake as this was in the middle price wise. And we had it grilled at no extra cost. We could have a snack sized serving of chips which is a great idea. I hate wasting a mound of chips that we cannot get through usually. The chips were beautifully cooked in a clean vegetable oil. The potato scallop was excellent. Fish Bowl Restaurant & Takeaway Shop Review

I recently visited the Fish Bowl Restaurant & Takeaway Shop and had an absolutely delightful experience. The freshness of their salad was immediately noticeable, offering a perfect balance of flavors that complemented the meal wonderfully. The grilled sinepper fish was cooked to perfection—flaky, tender, and seasoned just right. We also tried their burgers, which I have to say, were a solid 10 out of 10! The coleslaw was another standout, crisp and flavorful, rounding off the meal beautifully.

In the attached image, you can see the generous portions and vibrant colors that speak to the quality of the ingredients. The salad looks fresh and inviting, with bright red tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, and chunks of feta. The fries are golden and appear perfectly cooked, while the sinepper fish has a nicely browned, crispy exterior, complemented by a wedge of lemon for a fresh burst of citrus.

This was awesome! Walked into a clean store with fishing paraphernalia everywhere and some light music playing. All the staff were super friendly and accomodating to my fussy wife’s burger order, but they got it perfect.. first time I’ve seen her finish a burger entirely and she raved about it. I had the fish, calamari and chips with gravy and it was 10/10 for everything. Chips were perfect and crispy, gravy was delicious, fish was tasty and moist, and calamari was tender and juicy and not stringy at all. The whole experience was great, good priced and left a smile on our faces. We will be back for sure....
