Sogno Italiano Burleigh Waters — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

They know how to scam you for extra money! They do not clearly state their is a service fee and a split bill fee anyway before purchasing (you can look for yourself), I only realised after I paid on the receipt. Exremely unethical & illegal business practice, by law they should be clearly stating it some where in the restaurant. No sign of fees on the menu, no signs of fees at the front desk and we did not go on a Sunday. Also why is the split bill fee 5% and a Card Surcharge of 1.4%. The food wasn't bad they used a fair amount of oil, if you like oil with a side of Pizza come here. The service was silly, i recieved my entree, I kid you not 2 minutes before my pizza? Like what.... Now lets be real, 5% isn't that much I wouldn't care to pay for it if they showed it on the menu, if they are doing unethical things like this.... then what else are they doing behind...

1 month later 🤗 I’m curious to Burrata these days😋 I had Panzanella Con Burrata and Linguini Moreton Bay Bug today 😘 I love fresh tomatoes 🍅 and balsamic dressing 👍🏻🥳 I liked Burrata salad🥰 Just the crispy bread???? was a bit soggy 😓 Pasta was nice too but tasted like parsley a lot😅 I would love to their pizza 🍕 one day🥰

I wanted to come here since they have opened here😚 I’ve been to Mermaid water restaurant before 😋 It’s quite rare menu for the lunch🥳 Simple pastas dishes is the hardest 😚 I had Cacio e pepe today. OMG🤩 I’ve never been to Italy 🇮🇹 But there was my favorite flavor on the plate🥰 It’s perfect saltiness, peppery and emulsified sauce🥳👍🏻 I’m sure it goes nice with the red wine 🍷 Service was just ok??? because they nearly finished lunch time??? I felt I was not much welcomed???? I’m really looking forward to...

We came here on opening night, and walked out before any food came as we waited so long (well over an hour and a half). Didn’t give a bad review as thought it would be unfair on their opening night.

So we thought give it another try -whilst we had food this time very promptly -service was lacking. The staff are very junior we were pointed to “that table over there in the middle” then once food arrived that was it, no staff member came to check in, didn’t ask for any further drinks, didn’t clear table or ask if we wanted dessert (we did).

We had to just get up with full table of empty plates and request the bill, and head to coles for our dessert. Two of three pizzas were great, the Margarita lacked cheese and tomato. Would we come back? I doubt it. Service is seriously lacking. When you’re paying $30 for a pizza I...
