Galleons Bistro — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Speaking basely off the taste of the food, the taste of the pasta was quite bland as it tasted like a watered down cheese sauce. The sauce and little to no flavor and was almost like it was microwaved. People at my table described the taste of the pasta like " a cheap ALDI pasta meal " due to it's taste and consistency. The chicken parmigiana had a layer of cheese on top of it and had a very rubbery texture. The chicken was quite impressively good for something that came right from siting under the hot stove all day. The only meal that even had a slight hope was the fish and chips as you can't mess em' up. The crunchiness of the battered fish paired with the tartare sauce made a really nice blend of a "classic fish and chips". The online menu is different to the physical menu, price is dramatically increased. The food is no better than a footy canteen meal. Seafood basket was $29. Tiny piece of fish, 2 very small frozen prawn cutlets, calamari that was all overcooked. Steak sandwich looked ok, the steak was so banged it looked like a rissole. Too much bread. The chips were overcooked. We are staying at the park for a few days and were quite keen on eating at the restaurant as the room we are in has no cooking facilities.
