We had the pleasure of dining here and the food truly feeds the soul. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere.

The menu offered a wide range of classic Italian dishes, all made with the freshest ingredients and a true love for the craft.

The seafood marinara was one of the best i ever had. It was a delightful combination of fresh prawns, juicy calamari, fish and tender mussels all cooked to perfection in a rich napoli sauce with just the right amount of spice. The seafood was cooked just right, and the sauce had a perfect balance of flavors - not too tangy, not too sweet.

But what really set this dish apart was the freshness of the ingredients. You could tell that the seafood was of high quality and the sauce was made with care and attention to detail.

The pizza margherita was delicious. The toppings were simple but perfect - fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkle of basil. It was a perfect balance of flavors, with the sweetness of the tomato sauce and cheese. Each bite was so satisfying.

We highly recommend the pistachio creme brulee and tiramisu for dessert, and it was the perfect way to end my meal. The creamy mascarpone filling was perfectly balanced with the coffee-soaked ladyfingers and dusted with cocoa powder.

But what truly made this dining experience special was the atmosphere of the restaurant. From the warm lighting to the comfortable seating, everything felt like it was designed to make me feel at home. The staff were attentive and welcoming, making the experience feel like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

I recently had the pleasure of ordering the carne pizza and garlic focaccia from Gemellini and I must say, it was an absolute delight! Without a doubt, it was the best pizza and focaccia combination I have ever had.

Let's start with the carne pizza. The moment I took my first bite, I was blown away by the explosion of flavors. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, providing a delightful crunch with every bite. The generous toppings of succulent, perfectly seasoned meats took this pizza to a whole new level. Each bite was a heavenly combination of tender beef, savory sausage, and mouthwatering pepperoni. The cheese was perfectly melted, adding a creamy richness that complemented the meats beautifully. It was a carnivore's dream come true!

Now, let's talk about the garlic focaccia. This side dish was an absolute showstopper. The aroma of freshly baked bread and garlic wafted through the air as soon as I opened the box. Another gastronomical experience 22nd April 2025

As we’ve moved to Brisbane from the GG now we wanted to share a Gemellini experience with family who were visiting from Sydney, we’d taken them to Gemelli on James Street but told them Gemellini is another experience altogether!!!

Gemelli James Street and Gemellini are completely seperate experiences, with the service being more personalised and superior to Gemelli James St (or other Gemelli locations we’ve visited). Massimo’s team at Gemellini are amazing, smiles and engagement with patrons is above and beyond, always has been!

With the landscape changes at Nobby’s, we were relieved to see Gemellini still uniquely present … we did poo over to Gelato Gemelli after dinner 🍽️ to complete our experience!

We look forward to another visit to Gemellini, the 90 minute drive worth it, and besides, we’d rather that to Gemelli James Street
