Poor attitude of the waitress. We felt racially discriminated. There were just three tables of customers with two new coming tables, including ours. We placed the order in Ipad almost the same time as the other table but they got their food within 15 mins. However, we just ordered two ramens and we waited over 30mins while nothing came. We then asked the waitress whether they received the order. The waitress said she would have a check on a “Not sorry” face. And she DID NOT return to give us a response so we need to ask her again. Then she said the order machine was malfunctioned and kitchen started making from that moment, which was 40 mins after we entered the shop. We ran out of time so we couldn’t wait further but leave. It was such a traggic experience as we drove a long way to your shop within our tight schedule and didnt even get to try your food. We are irritated not just by the technology but mainly the attitude and professionalism of your staff members. 4 tables in the whole shop but 3 staff in the kitchen while the waitress had nth to do on hand except laughing and chilling. How was that possible no one come by and ask whether we have placed any order when others are almost finishing theirs. The attitude of the waitress especially not giving us an update after our enquiry was the main problem that your company needs to...
Read moreTL;DR their ramen should be called noodle in warm brine at best. When IKR first came to the Valley I was excited as I love trying fusion food and I'm also a huge fan of ramen. The restaurant looked trendy and they had $5 beers. The atmosphere is pretty nice. However the ramen was a different story. My partner got the chick'n miso ramen while I got the mushroom ramen. Noodles: 3/5. Passable curly noodles that is mediocre. Broth: 0/5. I was so excited for the vegan broth but it was way below my expectations. It tasted like salt and water. There was no sweetness, no taste of vegetables, nothing. For a ramen to be outstanding the broth most be good and it is the worst part of the ramen. How can you screw up miso soup? Vegan: 1/5 the most uncreative vegan dish I've ever come across. Vegan dishes usually use a variety of vegetables to "make-up" the lack of meat. IKR's ramen did none of that. Could've used tomatoes to give the broth some extra sweetness, or sesame oil to add some extra punch. The vegan ingredients are super plain and boring. In conclusion, IKR is a bastardisation of the worst of western and eastern elements. I have no clue what the other positive reviews are raving on about. As someone who has tried ramen across the globe I can say in confidence that this is probably the worst ramen I have ever...
Read more"I Like Ramen" have done a phenomenal job in creating a delicious menu that celebrates everything that is great about ramen while supporting the vegan movement. The menu is thoughtfully curated to incorporate the principles of true ramen which is the use of the freshest ingredients available. I love how they have upped the ante with their noodles with the use of charcoal activated noodles and spinach noodles which are both heavenly. The broth is light, refreshing with the subtlest elements of every ingredient. We ordered the Mean Green, Kim Chi and the Miso Ramen. The vegan "Duck" bao was so juicy, tender and full of interesting flavours. All the dishes were wonderfully unique and we relished every delicious spoonful right up to the last. I still can't believe that all their food is vegan but it is! Follow them on Instagram as they share lots of specials like $10 bowls which is an absolute bargain. My lunch party and I found the music a tad loud which made conversation a little challenging. But that will not deter us from...
