For many years my family were regulars at Cucina Mia, which was owned by Go Eataliano’s fabulous owners, Tina and Sam. When I stumbled upon Go Eataliano just recently after moving to Oxenford and realised that Sam and Tina were at the helm of this little gem, I couldn’t have been more excited! Finally getting to have my favourite dishes again. In fact, I took my partner here for his birthday this weekend. The food, service and ambiance was second to none. We sat out in the quaint courtyard of the restaurant and it was so comfortable and cosy. I ordered the Fettucine Venezia (an absolute favourite of mine for YEARS!) and my partner ordered the Fetticine Amatriciana (also another favourite!) and we shared a side of fresh garlic bread. Had been so long since I had these dishes and I couldn’t have been happier! In fact we woke up the next morning thinking about when we were going to go back for more. Now that we live only minutes away, we’ll be back weekly for takeaway!
👌Some recommendations that have been regular orders of mine over the years: Oysters Venezia pasta Amatriciana pasta Gambretto pasta (a classic!! Always light and delicious) Casalinga pasta (a hearty classic which is amazing in the cooler months) Primavera pasta (an amazing vegetarian option! Even if you’re not vegetarian this is soo tasty and light) Risotto (always bursting with flavour) Lamb Agnello di Firenze (best lamb shanks you’ll ever have) Lamb Cotolette di agnello (generous and delish lamb cutlets)
You also can go wrong with any of the pizzas! 🍕
AND be sure to order dessert. Baci, sticky fig and Tiramisu are some long time favourites of mine! 🍮🍨🥧
A big thank you to Tina and Sam for always providing the best service and food. These dishes will always have a special place in my heart (and...

For 17 minutes, he called me a liar and refused to let me speak, repeatedly insisting he would "check the cameras" and denying that the food was served after 8 PM, as that’s when the kitchen closes. I’d like to clarify that I did wait approximately 43-45 minutes, not 50, and I have a photo of my partner taken at 7:25 PM, before ordering, and a photo of the food served at 8:14 PM. Honestly, I don't even care about the food quality and wait time anymore. However, I do care that I received such an awful call at an inappropriate time of night. Even three months later, I'm still upset about this and felt the need to update my review. I would've been happy to take down the review if he was happy to hear me out instead of handling it the way he did. So, here's my 2 cents and I hope anyone else who has the guts to leave an honest review doesn't cop some abuse on the phone.
We were really excited to go somewhere local. The person who took our booking was lovely and professional and the wait staff were lovely too. Unfortunately, we waited 50 minutes for food and it was below average. Obviously cheap packet pasta with no flavour. I asked for extra chilli, received Tabasco sauce on the table and was charged extra… this was the cherry on top. Really disappointing considering the price is the same for what you’d pay further south of the Gold Coast for real...
Read moreScott Matthews, my husband & I dined at this restaurant last night after not eating there since it closed for 8-9mths.years ago. Our last visit left us disappointed in food, beverage & service. Gladly, word of mouth from our daughter Emily Savery who chose it for a birthday dinner, last week encouraged us to try again. Our whole experience was immaculate from arrival & welcome by owner Tina, to departure. We were also welcomed & shown to our table by Tracy & were treated professionally & with a very friendly attitude. It didn’t end there. Tracy was polite & helpful taking our order for food & wine. The food.(Fettuccini Sambucca) & Spaghetti Marinara) was home made from scratch by the Chef (Tina’s husband & joint owner) was delicious. The atmosphere was exceptional outside in the courtyard & was buzzing as a ‘happening scene’ Over 30 potential customers were turned away as they were fully booked.(Great Sign) Waitresses Tracy & Kim were attentive & polite whilst also being fun & friendly. We will definitely be back, & can’t wait to try the Pizzas. We are so happy that we have a great Italian Restaurant 10 mins from home. We can’t recommend it enough & hope that our experience attracts other local diners to try it. Thank you for a fabulous night....
