Goldies Bake Shop - Runaway Bay — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Most expensive pies available, among the worst. I had a cheese and bacon pie yesterday and get this, tasted exactly 100% like baked beans. They may as well have filled the pastry with baked bean sauce. That one was actually a first to me. I got a potato pie too and neither of them had and beef, only gravy with NO mince or steak.

Even bakeries usually do the gravy scam yet surprisingly Goldstein is the absolute worst for it. You can tell they really don't care, I don't remember the complaint the time before this one but I do remember thinking "wow they really don't eat their own pies".

The best pies I have found are from a butcher that also has a kitchen/till, a restaurant that also does other foods and suprisingly but also sort of not, Coles hot...

Ordered 3 chocolate milkshakes while a member of stuff was doing the rubbish then they went to the back and collected the 3 cups for the milkshakes all appearing to have been done without washing their hands but could have in the back, they had placed the bin near where they decided to prepare the milkshakes and so put the cups down grabbed the bin from the inside to move it out of the way then grabbed the milkshake cups from the inside as well. Yay! my favourite english tea stop. This place never ceased to amaze me. As soon as you arrive there is always such a warm hello from the ladies of Goldstein's. They deserve to celebrate 70years of their business! from warm reception, generous smiles and wonderful mouth watering goodies. They have days that they give a free slice of their cakes and other desserts. Both men and women, young and old would flock to this place i feel I know why.. IT IS WHERE THE GENUINE AUSSIE HOSPITALITY at its best.
