Rude unhelpful inconsiderate staff, there were 4 other people in the restaurant when we arrived, they had all ordered, I heard my husband order 2 of the mushroom, bacon and cheese chicken schnitzel special, they come with 2 sides, chips and salad, he requested 2 sides of salad, no chips, he didn’t get the chips, but he also didn’t get the extra salad, my meal came out with no mushroom bacon or cheese topping, it then took the chef (cook) 20 minutes to cook the topping and put my schnitzel under the heater, and re fry my existing chips, they were hard and crunchy, at no time did the duty manager come over and apologise, we weren’t offered a refund, in fact, when my husband went to ask for a take away container, because I had waited so long for my meal, I just wanted to go home, the young man charged him $1, at no time, did anyone apologise to us, the lady did ask my husband not to yell at her, unfortunately he’s hard of hearing and yells at everyone, he wasn’t rude, he was just loud, we’ve gone away from the club before, due to bad service, looks like we’ll be staying away for a while again, pretty poor service when to only had 6 people in the restaurant for the night, And the gentleman seated near the bar were never told to stop wearing, as we were leaving a family of 6 with young children came in, not very appropriate language for a social club, it’s not a front bar. I gave 2 stars because Nicky the waitress deserved to have a positive mention. We went for dinner tonight after an absence of some weeks, the food was disgusting. We had the old faithful club roast, nothing faithful about this meal at all. The meat was dry and basically inedible, the vegetables were badly heated frozen mixed veges that come from the super market freezer, a sliver of pumpkin and potato that tasted like they had been reheated lunch time left overs. The roast usually comes with dessert, not this time they didn't have any. There was Apple Pie (loosely used term) that one of our party invested in. This consisted of 2 strips of tough Puff Pastry over reheated apple and soggy discolored pastry. We paid the $14 members price and discovered later that after some complaints from patrons the meal was reduced to $12. Considering the dreadful meal this was way overpriced. I don't complain I take things as they come. Unfortunately this was a meal that I would not serve in my home and certainly not to guests. Completely DISGUTED and will NEVER be back. I have been a member for around 4 years and the main reason for returning was due to the friendliness of the staff and the banter with them. The roast on a Sunday was also a draw card but it too was a disappointment today. We had an issue with our membership card in the pokies. When asking for assistance and explaining our stress about our card showing $0 as a balance we were treated and spoken to lije criminals and low class citizens by a staff member called Marie. I had only had 2 beers whilst having lunch and i know that we did nothing to be spoken to and treated like we were. I recommend a play back on your cameras for Sunday 23/02/25 @ around 1pm - 2pm. She is not fit to work in an environment with customers. Like i said - cancel my membership i paid for today because i will NOT be back and will be spreading the word.
