Texas Char-Grill — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Without a shred of exaggeration, this place just sold me the worst meal I have ever had in my entire life. I have never left a restaurant review on google before but I am doing my first here with the sole intention of warning others to STAY AWAY from this restaurant. Honestly if this meal stays inside my body without me vomiting I will be extremely surprised. The chips were almost frozen they were so undercooked. The ribs had about a teaspoon of sauce on them (again, no exaggeration) and were extremely dry and disgusting. The portions are also much smaller than they used to be, yet the prices have gone way up. To think I paid $16.95 for this experience is just atrocious. They used to be the best ribs on the Gold Coast bar none, now you will do very well to avoid this place AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT...

I live locally and have been buying from this business for the 4 years I have been in the area , we have enjoyed most the meals . Only a few days ago I bought a crumbed sausage and took a bite in car on my way out and could not take another bite . It was very old and had obvious been sitting for a while , today I walk in and asked if they would possibly cook me another one , the man said we have none in the window but come back Monday, I then said on Monday will they be willing to make me one , and he said NO . I stated I am a regular customer and won’t be coming back in the future , he didn’t seem to care . The man said that’s ok we don’t mind .

I went to walk into Texas Char Grill only to find that all has been changed. The name is now ChicksnRibs, the staff are warm and inviting, making sure that customers do not wait for service. I have been in there several times and there has always been food in the hot box, chickens and ribs are abundant, and staff ready to make your meal quick and tasty. The premises itself has taken on a new look, walls painted new signage and best of all new owners. I have had the privilege of meeting them and they have big plans for this business.
