Reluctantly after reading your response to my review below I am compelled to correct several of your comments. You have missed my point, I awarded 5 stars for your meals and service-exceptional! Atmosphere was very bad. Surely cafe customers are entitled to sit and enjoy their meal without those constantly raised voices? Loud conversations are bad enough but praying? Other customers were obviously annoyed also. Regarding your accusation of discrimination, please take the time to purchase an oxford dictionary and look up the word 'discrimination' The only valid comment you made was to suggest moving tables but there weren't tables far enough away. We will take those comments on board though as within about 800 metres of your cafe there are well in excess of a dozen good cafes where we won't have to put up with your acceptance of that type of behaviour. Surely a quiet word from yourselves would have made the difference. You have now lost our custom as well as the custom of the many friends and family we met at your cafe since the business changed from a rural produce and hardware store all those years ago.
My wife and I attended Wednesday last for a brunch. Our visit was spoiled by two males who obviously thought they were in a church, not a cafe. Constant loud praying, praising god in loud voices, no respect or thought for nearby people who merely wished for a quiet meal in peace and serenity. Other diners were obviously not impressed either. Cadence is one of our favorite venues, please don't let ignorant people like these spoil your...
Read moreAugust 23...Cadence has new owners and we thought it worth giving it a try again to suss out the lie of the land. Four of us turned up for brunch. We got what we ordered and it came in surprising quick time. Everyone enjoyed their plates. The service was efficient and the experience overall was very good. It is a nice spot with plenty of inside or outside seating. Well done new owners!
We enjoyed a lovely lunch recently under the shade of the sail cloths and trees at Cadence. It was a nice open space, lots of fresh air, friendly staff, a big enough =menu to cater to most tastes and we will be back. My partner enjoyed a flavourful poke bowl and I had the scrambled eggs on sourdough with a hash brown. Simple food but how do these people make scrambled eggs sooooo much better than I can ever do? Makes me sick with envy. I can see room for expansion or improvement but that is not to detract from what is already there. It is such an inviting and large space and the staff were helpful and warm it can on ly get better and Nerang really should appreciate such a great cafe...
Read moreGreat cafe. Frequented by the cyclist community, which I am not, as it is connected to a bike shop. Onsite parking can be an issue. The cyclists use the lot to park their cars while they're out for a ride. There is other parking in the area if you're okay to walk up to a street. There is seating inside and outside. The exterior seating is mostly uncovered so it gets pretty hot on a sunny day. There's also an outdoor play area for kids and a tree everyone seems to use to the up their dogs. They serve Toby's Estate coffee which is one of my favourites. The food is good and the service is happy pretty good as well. Although sometimes the person at the cash register forgets to turn on their customer service face and smile.
This place is worth the drive out of your way, jist for the delicious...
