Commercial Hotel — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

This hotel has recently been upgraded And all things are new and fresh that was good.

However..these are the factors to improve in the future. Here we go..

This hotel has a big privacy problem as our Room didn't lock and only could be locked with manager's key card when going out. And manager warned us if we go out with the door manually locked (knob turned)the only way we can get back in was to remove the whole lock system..this is not something you expect i n any hotel .. it is just basic thing. I was amazed that they didn't fix it the first time they noticed the problem.

It was so hard to get the right temp for shower (approx 10min..)and took 5mins to get the cold water from the tap after using hot water. It was boiling hot.

Bathroom sliding entrance door kept stuck in the middle of opening and closing so we just kept it open all the time.

We wanted to use toilet down at the restaurant in the morning at about 8.30am because we only have 1 in our room.we had 5people in the room. There was no way to get in to the restaurant. All doors were locked. we just had to be patient..

We wont be going back however I sincerely think this needs to be fixed immediately for future customers.

And pillows...

The hotel stay was decent, hotel staff are very friendly, the bistro staff are very rude, they charged us, complimentary coffees one time. Also the website states that the bistro closes at 9pm. Planning to eat dinner at 8:30 and they said they close at 8:30, they should really update the website. The girl that told us the information was really rude about it, she said it always closes at 8:30 and storms off, I do not recommend anyone to come to the bistro.

The hotel has a face lift. New carpet new decor and spacious. I found it clean and very presentable. Just called in for a look was very impressed I had a little flutter was served with free soft drink and little bowl of nibbles. I haven't eaten there yet but will update after my meal. The staff were friendly and polite.

Well eaten there tonight very disappointed july 2019 Meal was so small and we were not given what was ordered. Chicken schnitzel was processed chicken. They definitely need to update menu and get proper chefs. Very dissappointing. I will not be eating there again. I had taken overseas guests. The acting manager in charge was very polite and apologetic. I regularly eat out in nerang, carrara and surrounding area. I try to support local hotels clubs restaursnts and businesses.
