Decided to check out Madame V tonight. Mixed feelings now. Food was mostly good, (pork ribs and calamari were great!) But, when many other restaurants do edamame, pot stickers (pork dumplings) and teriyaki chicken so well, you expect way more from somewhere charging fine dining dollars. Service was poor, we had to ask for every single water refill, searching for staff attention for every need despite it seeming overrun with wait staff. Our waiter completely overstressed the 'small' nature of each menu plate, recommending we (2 people) order at least 3-4 plates per person. We ordered 7 overall, and could have ordered half the amount of food, which is very frustrating, lacks integrity and leaves me feeling totally seen off. We're big eaters (my son is 18 and extremely hungry, but the recommended amount of food was utterly crazy!) Many restaurants will recommend honestly, it leaves a very bad taste when the main dishes need to be placed in take away boxes (they were all we would have needed!); so disappointing. We had been so looking forward to the coconut pannacotta, but couldn't even contemplate it. Overall, I'll be very surprised if this restaurant lasts 12 months; so many come and go, and when you have such exceptional standards at Rick Shores, Jimmy Wahs, Kin and Limlay in such close proximity, I would be hard pushed to recommend this strangely huge yet atmosphere lacking restaurant, despite some tasty flavour combinations and some interesting bougie art/design. Cooper, one of the younger waiters, scored a few of my review stars by listening to my frustration, and packing us a lovely take home box with fresh rice and extra teriyaki sauce so we could enjoy the ridiculous amount of left overs for lunch tomorrow. Cooper might be better placed working in a restaurant providing the exquisite dining experiences I've come to appreciate on the GC over the last 10 years. Potential, but improvements needed. Also, the dishes outlined below in the Google review template (recommended menu options) need updating from the last restaurant that...
Read moreA Huge Thank You to Madame V Asian Fusion Restaurant
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Madame V Asian Fusion on Palm Beach Avenue, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and beautiful smile of Darcy, the restaurant manager, whose hospitality set the tone for an exceptional evening. Darcy ensured everything flowed seamlessly and introduced me to one of the friendly waiters, Paulo, Cooper, or Wil, who promptly guided me to a plush, comfy rounded table.
The ambiance was breathtaking—stylish and vibrant, with colored wallpaper perfectly complementing the soft sheers draped across the ceiling. It’s clear that attention to detail extends from the décor to the impeccable service and presentation.
I opted for Banquet Number 2, and it exceeded all expectations. Every dish was a masterpiece, starting with the duck dumplings and my personal favorite, the wagyu dumplings, which were absolute perfection. The sweet pork ribs were tender and flavorful, the succulent chicken was cooked to perfection, and the miso-covered salmon was a dream. To top it off, the desserts—salted caramel soft serve and panna cotta with coconut milk—were divine.
The drinks were equally impressive, with a superbly crafted Negroni and high-end Pommery Champagne to share. A special shout-out to artisan chef Daniel Ridgeway for curating such a remarkable dining experience!
If you’re in Palm Beach and searching for an extraordinary dinner spot, look no further than Madame V. Thank you to the entire team for your impeccable hospitality and for creating a memorable culinary journey. I can’t...
Read moreThank you most sincerely to the wonderful staff at Madame V for making our recent 22nd Wedding Anniversary celebration dinner such a magnificent occasion. We weren't sure what to expect as we walked through the front door as the facade doesn't give much away but pleasantly we were met with a look and vibe that is high end but with a somewhat casual feel, and were greeted by Darcy, the restaurant manager, who took us to our table and made sure that we were comfortable before handing us over to the waitstaff, who I can say without hesitation are as good as any that we have experienced anywhere in the world (special mention to Cooper and Wil), who made sure that our every need was attended to. The food is superb, and unlike many restaurants that we visit these days there are so many dishes on the menu that you would actually order, and we certainly tried many of them (the Sashimi, the Miso Salmon and Panna Cotta were all amazing) just to name a few. We often visit Daniel Ridgeway's Little Truffle restaurant in Mermaid Beach as we have always believed that it is the best restaurant on the Gold Coast, but here he has delivered something quite different but with that same focus on great food and wine, great atmosphere and wonderful people. If you have already been to Madame V I'm sure you will, like us, be back again very soon, and if not I would highly recommend a visit the next time you are looking for somewhere very...
