My go to meal is a quarter chicken and chips. Absolutely delicious, well portioned and reasonably priced. However, I have restrained from leaving a review in hope that there would be some improvement in the waiting time but I can now confirm on most occasions that it takes 10-15 minutes (and has been longer on some occasions) just to get the order listed above. I have made the following observations and think if they are addressed the customer satisfaction will go through the roof along with profitability. -there is no process in place for preparing orders, it appears as though the staff fumble through to put orders together without a purpose. This means slow turn around times and staff getting in the way of each other frequently. -there never seems to be chips ready to go, the chips based on experience (and prior reviews) are a big draw card for the business, and whilst it’s great to always have fresh chips, it holds orders up severely. I would imagine if chips are constantly being cooked, they will definitely get used quickly. -orders seem to be prepared in the sequential order they are taken. If they were instead prioritised on quantity and difficulty, wait times could be drastically reduced. Eg. (witnessed recently) a gentleman had been waiting for a roast chicken for quite some time, just the chicken. The shop wasn’t super busy, that should have been bagged and served immediately, job done. I myself waited 16 minutes for my quart chicken and chips and only saw 3 orders handed over in that time. All the while a quick effort to put some chips and a bit of chicken in a box could have had me out the door in 5. I’ve written this review in the hope that some advice can be taken on board for the business to thrive. I really do love the food, but the wait time and lack of enthusiasm/attention from some staff members really puts a dampener on the experience. Ordered a chicken burger it was massive which is great value for the price, HOWEVER, they need to review their menu ingredients again as my chicken fillet was dense and large and was served in a bun that broke apart just by holding it. It made eating it a sloppy mess, with all the other ingredients in the burger. The sauce absorbed through the weak bread bun, & after two bites, the top bun had completely broken off! The rice pudding needs altering, maybe fresh vanilla pods as a flavour would heighten the taste of the dessert. The fruit salad, sometimes I'll get bruised fruits in my order. ❤️the roast chicken dinners & we usually get the potato bake too yumm the best, if we lived closer this would be a weekly for us if not twice a week, but for the last 7 plus years we have popped by to take home. Always been spotless & clean, always had good service, always had good food, I actually did this review after reading a lot of them, very surprised! Very surprised anyone would rather maccas then this home style cooking and right now hubbie is making the trip to get some, they are a very popular busy place.
