Very poor experience on monday night 24th sept. Around 7pm After my parnter and I walked in, with no greeting or acknowledgement we took it upon ourselves to sit down in a booth. We watched the train do 3 full laps and were less than impressed with the quality and variety of food on display. During this time another 3 tables were seated. We tried numerous times to get the attention of wait staff to make an order, duebto the food not look very appealing. I placed my hand in the air and one wait staff gave me eye contact, and completely ignored me more than once and proceeded to take the order of 2 tables. And still did not once come to our table. There was no mayo packets on the train and when asking one of the chefs for some he acted like it was an inconvenience as many tables were asking and he proceeded to squirt a small amount from his prep section, like mayonnaise was a expensive added extra. After waiting for so long we took a few plates off the train which was a bad move. My parnter could not even finish one slice of her sushi roll as the rice was cold, gluggy and clumped together. All 5 plates that were taken off the train tasted as if they had been doing laps for hours. All steam and fried food was cold, stale. Except for one plate of fried chciken, which was tasty as it go put on the train fresh that time. During the time of eating these plates attempts to gain the attention of wait staff were still failed. After becoming very annoyed at the lack of service and poor quality and variety of food. We left with in 15 mins with a total bill of $25. Which i was not happy to pay. Normally our bill would be well above $60. We left to go grt dinner else where. T For the number of staff in the kitch and on the floor to the ratio of customers this experience has solidified the fact that we will be not back. For locals, id recommend sushi train oxenford. Its worth the extra 10 min...
Read moreRude! Rude! Rude! This could be the worst service I’ve ever had!!
Please reconsider ordering online though this store.
Food not ready when I arrive (actually after the time quoted by the app) so I wait 5 minutes. I verified all my details at the counter. Then they bring my food out and call my name and when I go to claim it - I get sent to the back of a line!! This is despite me repeatedly saying that it’s my order. The food then is placed on a cold wooden shelf.
I wait for a period of time watching it get cold, asking random staff members for help and get told that they can’t help me because it must be done at the front counter to verify me. The line is huge!
I then go up to the counter after getting so upset that my name called to collect my food and they would prefer it to sit there getting cold rather than stop pumping through more orders and sales!! You legit only care about getting sales!!!
I eventually walked up to the counter, where your very rude waitress put her hand up at me, refused to hear me out or talk to me and repeatedly told me to get to the back of the line.
Im sorry but this is not how you treat customers!!!!
By this point I just refused to leave, told her that I have been watching my food that has been paid for getting cold on the shelf for some time now and I want it now!!
I really should have demanded a refund because I paid full price for cold food!!! Please contact me about this issue because I am furious!!! Wasted time, money and it tasted awful !!!
Avoid!! Seriously there are so many sushi stores around that would appreciate good customers. As for Sushi Train - hire some nice staff members because all three women that were on staff were rude and outright...
Read moreNot happy. The waitresses were friendly and accommodating and I have no complaints from them.
However, and I understand it was later in the evening and they were cleaning up, I was sprayed twice by the chef who wasn’t paying attention, with cleaner, while I was eating my food. The second time I asked him what was in the bottle because he’s sprayed me twice. He said cleaner. I said to him you’ve sprayed me twice and the second time was in my arm and my face. I just get “oh sorry”. I spoke to the manager who didn’t really care either and said he’d tell him (which I told him I had already done). I don’t think it’s appropriate for paying customers to be sprayed with chemicals they are eating their food, but apparently it’s no big deal to your staff.
The same chef took the toilet key while we were waiting for it because my 3 year old son needed the toilet. I was told we’d have to walk to the next toilet which was quite far away instead. Being 3 he can’t hold it very long so he ended up having to go in the bushes. Regardless he had wet himself a bit.
Overall really poor experience tonight and I won’t be back there again. I expect more to be done than just “thank you for your feedback”; I want a refund on my meal as this is completely...
