Okazu Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

This was a google recommendation so obviously it being close by I had to try it. First visit we were greeted but felt a little pressured to hurry and choose which rolls we wanted (usually people would like some time to think it over being new to them of course). Thought because it was such a hot day outside was the reason for it being so hot inside the store so we let that slide and just decided to take our meal home. The sushi is reasonably sized and staff are happy to slice the sushi. (Also just discovered they have condiments for you to take).

Second visit sushi once again was great but inside is just way to hot to sit in and have lunch :-( and a bottle of green tea is $5 I buy the exact green tea from many other shops and you don’t usually pay more than...

Just has a katsu burger which was on a special board outside. This was absolutely un eatable. The chicken was so dry and overcooked. The bun was like a cheap tiger roll from coles. The price of this burger was $15 each. My husband had the same and now has really back stomach pains. We usually always go there for take away sushi and it is really good. Looks to like different staff from before. I told the girl that I could not eat the burger and she just said ok, thank you. Bad customer service. I should of been offered my money back. We visited over the weekend and had poke bowl and sautéed vegetables bowl. Both were so delicious! The sizes of the portions were quite generous and come with a lot of ingredients, plus their ginger and dikon were great as well. The place is quite cozy and the staff are friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this place if you love Japanese style food, also if you want to try something above the usual sushi I highly recommend a poke bowl.
