Hands down, the worst accommodation we've ever stayed in. If Zero Stars was an option, that's what would be selected. Aside from the location, which is handy to walk to the beach and with a short drive/walk to the Miami Marketta, Pacific Fair and some cafes this is where the compliments end. We stayed in Apartment 34. The short: Unclean, blood on the floor in the ensuite, mould, dust and dirt build up throughout, crumbs and odour in the kitchen cupboards, broken blinds, stained lounge, damaged bathtub (raised rusted area), rusted/dirty fixtures and much more. The long: From the moment we walked in, my wife and I both instantly were taken aback about the state of the place. Put simply, there is no way (as stated on the notice in the kitchen) that it had been professionally cleaned.. If at all. We've taken a series of photos to hopefully show you the state of what we walked into. Most alarmingly, in one of the photos you'll see what appears to be blood in the Ensuite.. Safe to say we kept ourselves and our kids well away from there. So much so, that at about 7:30am on our only full day there (we spent two nights here unfortunately) until about 8pm, we kept ourselves out of the property. We just couldn't bring ourselves to go back or spend any extra time inside with our kids for fear of catching something or our innocent kids touching things they shouldn't. We sacrificed the girls naps during the day to avoid being there. We didn't use any of the kitchen facilities other than putting a few items in the fridge as it was filthy with crumbs, stains all through the Cupboards and even upon opening Cupboards, the smell that came out made us close it straight away and move on. The bathtub was unusable for us as it has a rather large raised rusted area that was dangerous. The rooms are all dusty and one of our girls had an asthma attack in the middle of the night on our first night. That aside from the curtains in that room not closing end to end due to them being broken, it wasn't much past sunrise that our girls were awake. Sadly, we could go on further with the issues and after much debate between my wife and I we decided to say something about it. It's not our approach to complain about things, in fact we will often leave positive Google reviews for our stays in order to support businesses where our money has been well spent or simply grin and bear it and move on. Unfortunately, it just wasn't anywhere near a basic standard of hygiene for a property being rented as a holiday rental. We left at 5am on our scheduled day of check out as we just didn't feel comfortable having our family in the property longer than was even required.

November 2022 Unit 6 wheelchair friendly unit - dust laden fans in bedrooms and bathroom vent in ceiling, Shower in the ensuite continually leaking and kitchen sink tap sprays everywhere and broken handles on the dishwasher making it hard to open. . Dried potato chip and dust behind the TV unit in the lounge room. Sheer curtains on the balcony door black and mouldy looking and no sheers on the bedroom so the sliding door/windows and curtains remain closed due to facing the main road. Housekeeping really needs to pick up to bring this back to par. Spoke to the Jason and cleaning is coming in on 7/11 to attend to the fans and bathroom vent. Foxtel has to be accessed manually as TV remotes are not working. We have been here coming since, I believe 2014 bi annually, for the Pan Pacific Masters games, referring many folk we know to stay here, and talk amongst other competitors is that a lot of other accomodation is the same. What was a good price and accomodation for 9 - 11 days is now pricey and a 2 -3 star property. During Covid a lot of participants lost deposits etc and those that didn't have a lesser quality of accommodation and it is the same , in most cases, where they stopped prior to covid so it is a fair comparison. It is looking like we might stay elsewhere in 2024 and save at least $1,000 in doing so..

Great location and the young lady on reception was great. Very happy, very helpful and accommodating. The size of our apartment was perfect for 4 (mum, dad + two kids under 8), our balcony looked out over lovely landscaped grounds and the pool/spa. However, there was a sign inside the apartment advising that it was 'professionally cleaned' between guests. I'd be surprised if the cleaners did anything more than sweep the floors. The dishwasher smelled really bad, there was months (if not years) worth of dust on the skirting and other 'overlooked' surfaces, as well as a fair bit of mold in the ensuite shower. Overall a happy holiday and stay, but a bit disappointed in the cleanliness of the unit. (My apologies to the manager - I forgot to start the dishwasher before we left).

No air conditioning except for 1 small unit in the lounge room. The ancient ceiling fans in the bedrooms only worked on one speed and they grind very loudly all the time. There is a colony of fruit bats roosting outside the bedroom windows. So we had to move all the mattresses into the living room to sleep on the floor. The bedroom windows don't function because the $2 rollers have worn out long ago. The main shower was unusable because the $30 shower head is broken beyond use. The hot water is virtually non existent in the ensuite shower because when we turned on the cold water it instantly shuts of the hot water flow. Beds were old and on the hard side. The ensuite toilet was adrift from the floor. The TV only works through the Foxtel box. No direct connection to the antenna so we couldn't get Netflex to work. There is no recycling system or facilities at all. We had to walk up 5 flights of stairs to get from the carpark to the 2nd floor room. And to top it all off we were charged $152 a night when we booked online only to discover when we checked in that the rate is only $100/night. Management said a refund was out of the question. So we will never stay there again. In fact I'll never stay in privately owned managed apartments again. In my experience owners and body corporates never like spending money on even necessary repairs. Unlike motels where there reputation...
